Will my character save if I wipe my computer?

I had to do the same thing, my character did save.

No you lose your character and all posts on this forum as well. You will also have to set up your netflix que again, buy all of your games on Steam again, and your facebook account will also be wiped.

Serious answer: Your DayZ Character is saved on DayZ servers, so yes, you will get your character back as long as you are using the same Steam account when you log back in. :)

I play DayZ on both my stationary and laptop. Same steam account = same character.

 

As long as you synch properly, which is done automatically, youll be fine.

I just wiped my whole computer and the monitor too. Now they are clean and my char is still there. so no..you will still have it.

its like an update in graphics too, so crisp and clear now.

You can wipe it. As a matter of fact, if you have another computer, with steam installed (same account), your character will be there. In other words, your character is much like a roaming profile. :)
