Standalone head bob issue

Basically the slider does nothing, my screen still move around and its basically unplayable, cant play more than 10 mins without getting dizzy.

Is there any other way to change it or is it broken ?

I didn't ever experience anything like that and my settings reset on a regular basis, which is why I have to change it fairly often.

 

Is there anything you can remember to reproduce it? Anything you have changed other than that? Did you change anything in your .cfg's?

To manually change it, go to your username.DayZProfile, located C:\Users\User\Documents\DayZ Other Profiles\Username and find this line:

headBob=??;

Change it to 0.0 and viola :D

But remember, if you start editing this file, you cant go into "settings" ingame, as it will overwrite what you have done, unless you make it "read only" :)

i also cant get the change view button to work, regardles to what i bind it to, so i cant go 3rd person

If you're playing on "hardcore" servers then 3rd person view is disabled.

Ok, so if neither of this works, i would completely remove the game, restart the computer and install it again.

It sounds like its not installed correctly and it isnt writting/reading the local configs, for some reason.

 

Are you absolutely sure you changed the setting in the current, active profile you are using?

Maybe the hed bob thing is also a hardcore feature ?

I currently cant play on normal, maybe you can help me in that regard also.

 

Started first time, broke my legs and since there was no zombies around and i was close to water decided to drown myself. So i crawl to the water and wait to die.

Now after i die the respawn button is grayed out, so i exit and join again hoping to respawn, but nope.

On every normal server i join i get placed under the water with like 10 secs before i die, i die and when i join again same thing. I died like 20 times on 20 servers same thing.

It keeps spawning me in the water broken with 10 secs to live.

yes since i have only one profile, i might as well reinstall i guess, also read post abpve this one

Did you also delete the DayZ folders in Documents and AppData > Local when you were reinstalling?

yes i deleted the documents one and if by "appdata > local" you mean the dayz folder in steamapps i did that also

 

another thing i cant turn off is mouse accel. the button in setting doesnt work, click it 100 times still on "ON"

I manage to crawl for 10 mins till i find a zombie, he took him like 3 mins of hiting me till i become uncounscious , then guess what ? THE RESPAWN BUTTON WORKED .

 

So if i die i cant use respawn but if dont die i can ... brilliant.

 

Anyway now i can play on normal, but the head bob issue persists. When im in 1st person mode my image shakes making it unplayable but at leats now i can play in 3dr ...
