More ropes and sacks.

Recommended Posts

Finding rope is too difficult at the moment. Burlap sacks and rope make for a great newbie backpack, but the way it works now, finding a real backpack is ten times easier.

These items need to be more common. Especially in industrial places and on farms.

THIS. Reduce the spawns of those silly kids backpacks and increase the spawns of burlap sacks and rope.

For that purpose, it is. It only serves to make a homemade backpack, more or less.

Well, I think its very well balanced at the moment. The improvised backpacks give you a big advantage while travelling across the map.

For me its the only "real" endgame item at the moment :D

True, I've never actually made an improvised backpack for just this reason. I always have a much better pack by the time I find the materials.

I hear some people prefer the improvised backpack though because it has the lowest profile so its hard to see when prone.

It's so easy to find rope and burlap sacks. Go loot some houses, they spawn everywhere, i find them in apartment buildings, supermarket, garages, especialy garages.

Granted I do wish that Rope and Sacks could spawn more often, equally so I wish Sticks could be harvested from trees but in reality alot of the time you do find these items when a server first starts, thing is that everyone loots everything when the server restarts so unless you spawn in just as a server starts your not likely to find much on the coast unless you go further inland and search the "odd" towns.

I don't think anyone is denying that. The point is more that by the time you find both rope and a burlap sack you will have already found a regular backpack.

I think that overall equipement spawn should be reduced by a lot and that we shouldn t find pristine equipement. Crafting/repairing would then be a lot more usefull.

Depends on your point of view, I'd take an improvised backpack over any other. So as.said it's an endgame item for me too. As such I don't mind waiting for it. There needs to be black burlap sacks.

It should be possible to take away the laces from shoes, boots and hoodies in order to craft a rope.

6 laces = 1 rope

(Shoes/boots without laces would get useless or have a higher chance to get lost if you're running or walking through water/swamps.)

Laces should be stackable.

Sacks should be craftable also.

Tear a clothing into rags, use a sewing kit on 2 or 4 rags = 1 sack.

All of these items (laces, sewing kit, clothes) should be available in nearly every house (maybe not all of them together in one building). So when I roam the coast, I'd love to have the first improvised backpack (12 slots) after looting 5-8 buildings at the latest.

I'd love to see these items craftable. I am not into bondage, so I don't have any ropes at home but I have enough shoes and hoodies to take the laces from.
