[Challenge] Clan v. Clan

Riding on the apparent success of Crazykage's challenge the other night, I want to step it up a notch and offer up a clan v. clan challenge. My crew, [KoS], vs. whoever wants to challenge us this evening. [DUST], if you bums want to try again, we are all about it, especially after all the QQ the last time we rolled you...

 

But it stands as an open challenge to anyone interested with a crew ready to go against us. I will guess that we will be rolling at least 6 deep, but that could vary with time of day. Looking to get the party started around 7pm EST, on our server. We are loosely grouped on the western half of the map right now but are bound for Solnichny after everyone gets their shit done for the day and we regroup.

 

Chances are good that there will be copious amounts of alcohol involved, as well as some streaming.

No, DayZ group PVP is boring, that's all. When people brag on the forums of "rolling" other clans in a turtle-paced match of who can camp a corner the longest, I feel the need to post links to other games that actually require a little talent. Whoever scratches their nose first loses.

This sounds great Meatshield.. I still have to group up with you guys, things have been hectic this week at home. Yeah I saw yours after I posted mine. We are trying to find a clan with balls enough to face us since most of the time they scatter when they see us come rolling in as a group, lol.

 

I am afk in ts right now as are most of the crew, everyone is chasing food and beer/booze for tonights festivities, however they may turn out. I don't think that we, as a group, would be averse to taking control of any installation and defending against a incursion. We are all fully mil kitted already anyhow :)

Ehh I don't agree. I think it's way more heart pounding with the end result being a beach spawn and no guarantee of getting your gear back, as opposed to instant gear when you respawn, and 15 seconds til youre back in the shit. Not a CS fan, but playing other traditional FPSes has its allure beyond what this game offers, yet this game offers a "finality" of sorts if you fuck up and hang your dick out in the breeze too long.

 

We have had a few solid clan v. clan battles, and they are all rather chaotic and intense. Win some and lose some, but the end result is always a ton of fun no matter who ends up on the regearing side of things.

For the player, yes, agreed. DayZ PVP is like golf: fun to play, boring to watch. I've KOS'd so much now that I don't even get that rush any longer. I actually wish I still did, it was more fun then. :T

I cant totally disagree with the golf analogy...lol. But, I stream for the sake of friends who don't/cant play, and they watch the mindless grind for hours just to see the few seconds of killing.

 

Sad that you have lost the rush. You must be becoming one of those sociopaths IRL that the carebears keep crying about :)

So your best example video was a group camping the NW airfield? (who seem to be terrible shots and can't even properly cover a building as simple as the fire station to save their lives) There is so much more to DayZ pvp.

 

If you camp in DayZ you will only kill scrubs or the odd unlucky ones. People with some tactical knowledge and knowledge about the lay of the land will get the better of you however, most of the time.

It was the first one I grabbed. They're all the same. Arma, Arma 2, Arma 3, DayZ mod, DayZ standalone, etc. I didn't even watch beyond the first ten seconds of the video. If you want, I can submit a proper title, table of contents, introduction, methodology, results and discussion, conclusion, references and a bibliography to properly support my video choice next time.
