AMD Athlon™64 X2 6000+ 3.0 GHz

3 GB RAM

GeForce 9600 GT OC 512MB RAM

I run it on all Very Low settings.  Not sure about exact FPS but it is pretty decent in the countryside and playable in the cities.  I am sure that I am bottlenecking my own performance with this pathetically underpowered machine, but I have killed a good deal more armed folk than have killed me, so whatever.  All my money goes towards student loan debt, mortgage, car payments, and IRA.  Ain't nobody got time for spending money on computer games!  (Responsible adults, anyways.)

Really not that bad for a 4870.

What's the easiest way to display FPS? Any way through the console?

So far i didn't see any fx6300 cpu.

So how would fx6300 gtx760/7870/r9 270x run this game at 1080p?

I play through my arcade cabinet Im building.

-i5 4670k OC'd at 4 Ghz right now

-MSI z87 gd65 gaming mother board

-GTX 660 that I overclock with MSI afterburner, but dont recall what its at right now

-120Gb SSD with OS and games on it and 1tb HDD for general storage

-8 gigs of ddr3 ram @ 1600mhz

-21" monitor running at 1600 x 1200

With most settings on high/very high and vsync on, I get upwards of 60fps away from cities and closer to 30 or so in cities. If I switch on bandicam, I lose some of that.

Im redesigning it for PC gaming so a platform will rotate from under the monitor to be used with the keyboard and mouse.

The arcade controls work with DayZ since theyre assigned to specific keystrokes, but there is of course far too few buttons.

Can you record yourself playing DayZ on this? I want to see how this setup works

I made a video when I was curious where the coastal road ended in the West, but it was 6 gigs in size, so I used a program to shrink it to 1 gig and lost a good amount of the quality and it cut out the bandicam fps counter.  Ill try to take a shorter one later and upload it to youtube.

I meant have a camera behind you as you play the game; I want to see how the hardware and joysticks work

I primarily play with a mouse and keyboard on it and thats why Im installing the new platform for them to rotate down ontop of the arcade controls.  I only mentioned the game working with the arcade controls because theyre assigned keystorkes that are also used in DayZ, but I dont have enough buttons for the game and Id need another joystick to look around since the existing one is for movement.

That said, when I reconnect the arcade controls, I can make a short video of the few things you can do with this setup if youd like.

actually the 4870 would do a lot more in this game if my CPU was better. 4870 is way better thank you think.

Where are all these "Ultra" settings in the game?

My copy of the SA has "Very High" as the maximum for the various graphics settings.

I have decent specs but ever since the last update I have been getting frame rates so low it makes the game almost unplayable (16-24 in smaller towns and 6-10 in bigger cities like Cherno) on even the lowest possible settings  :(. I can run other games like bf4 on high settings with no problem at all.

My system specs (Asus ROG g75vw):

  • Graphics card: GeForce GTX 660M 2GB
  • RAM: 16GB
  • CPU: Intel quad Core i7, 2.4Ghz
  • CPU speed: 2400Mhz
  • Windows 8.1
  • PSU is always plugged in
  • Driver is up to date

In game settings:

  • Everything is low or disabled besides resolution which is set to 1080p

Can someone please tell me why I could be getting these low frame rates??

Should I reinstall the game?

Thanks

i5 4670k oc 4.7 ghz

GTX 570 gigabyte Oc x2

some watercooling

All Setting high (no Vsync / no cloud / no shadow) 1440x900 - ALL rest full setting !

80+ fps - 50+ fps in citys (NEVER ANY FREEZE OR LAGG) if i do low setting i have more than 150 / 200 fps++

Does ANYONE believe this?

No, he's full of beans. My rig is tweaked to fuck (granted it's three years old) with a processor running almost 500MHz faster than his (a comparison between our processors can be found here, where the only category his wins in is single-core performance), I have faster GPUs also running in two-way SLI, and as of right now SLI is given zero fucks by DayZ and is actually given a severe penalty to performance* near ANY building due to poor optimization and not using more than 50% of each GPU. *deep breath*

So yeah, no.

*An example of which can be seen below:

There's no verifiable evidence that any rig can give 50FPS in the cities and you're certainly not going to do it with a GTX 570 (SLI not working ATM) regardless of CPU.

Intel i5-4670K CPU @ 3.40GHz, NVIDIA 760 GTX with 2GB Video memory, 8GB RAM, Motherboard is MSi Z87-GD65 (7845-001R), 1TB HDD, Windows 8 with 1080p monitor

50+ FPS not in cities, 20-25 FPS in cities. Everything, including Video memory being on "Auto", is maxed out except:

Vsync = Disabled (for higher framerate)

Edge Smoothing = FXAA High (for a more crisp picture)

Yes, I can potentially max out everything, but Vsync unnecessarily lowers my frame rate, and anything higher than FXAA makes the screen blurry which I don't like. Yes, Vsync prevents screen tearing, but I have a high framerate, so I don't notice it. On top of that, screen tearing never bothered me anyway.

This is nearly identical to the $800 system I'm about to build. With the new Silverstone Raven RZ01 micro-ATX case. Good to know what the rough DayZ capabilities are.

Pointless topic sorry. FPS varies literally from place to place, not just config to config. Even an average cant sum up currently.

Rofl.  You don't even know what the topic was about.  You post was pointless.
