Grimey Rick 3417 Posted March 1, 2014 Title. Ruins immersion if some random dude/chick can wriggle out of my handcuffs within thirty seconds of me putting them on. Have you ever tried to escape from handcuffs? From personal experience being thrown into the back of a police cruiser, I can tell you it's not possible unless you have some kind of Harry Houdini shit going on. They dig into your wrists and cause all sorts of lovely bruises, scrapes and cuts. Suggested tweaks: a. Take at least a full minute of wriggling to get out of the handcuffs. That way your captor could watch for any movement and decide what he's going to do with his determined captive.b. Handcuffs should come with the key attached. Handcuffs are rare enough as it is, but the keys seem to be even rarer (yes, rarer is a word) in my experience. Could we not just have the keys spawn attached to the handcuffs? When you apply the handcuffs, have the key remain in the inventory slot the handcuffs had previously occupied. Upon removing the handcuffs, have the handcuffs and keys then recombine. This doesn't really help the captive remove the handcuffs, but it'd be an improvement to the current system and could potentially give reason to revamping the current escape system.c. Let the captive jog. I've always thought it's kind of weird that you can only kind of shuffle along with handcuffs on. Letting the captive jog would make it possible to escape a situation where a captor is being careless, but not enough of an advantage for the captive to escape if being actively watched. Nicko2580 398 Posted March 1, 2014 I'm gonna go with a macro.I can set my keyboard to repeat a command thousands of times very quickly. Just set it to toggle a repeat of 'space' and I imagine it would break the cuffs pretty quick. TheLastEmp 295 Posted March 1, 2014 If you know the correct way to go about pressing "wasd" it definitely takes only a couple seconds. I've Houdini'd myself out of a couple of pristine sets. Sonic-NKT 38 Posted March 1, 2014 (edited) i was attacked by someone in svetlo once who knocked me down with an axe, he grab my guns and some other stuff i gues and then put my prestine handcuffs on me.... when i woke up again i tried for almost 30-40 min to get out of them, after 20min i also cried for help in the ingame chat but the server was quite empty.well in the end i died because i had to log out for some real live activities :) Edited March 1, 2014 by Sonic-NKT Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

raezion420 97 Posted March 1, 2014 I handcuffed this guy the other day in solnichy and he wiggled free after a few seconds, I screamed "WTF WIZARD!" and ran away from him. He proceeded to chase me and scream "LIGHTNING BOLT" each time he punched. the air behind me. I turned around and smacked him in the man boob (I was trying to aim for the head oops). This only made him more angry as he switched it up to "FIRE BOLT" as he swung those mighty fists. Desperate I turned back around again (as I was running from the fire bolts now), put my arms up, and yelled "MILEY CYRUS!!!!". Well he then turned around, climbed right up the silo ladder, and plunged to his death screaming "YOU WIIIN". Nylrem 12 Posted March 2, 2014 Yes, make it take forever, if even possible to get out. Plus it would be better to have it set up so that instead of death upon logging out in cuffs, your character just sticks around for say 10 min in the server.
