Riddeled with cheaters

So I am at 46.253.198.215:2302 (semper-fidelis.se) inside a building @ 28.02 gmt 00.10 nick was Rune.

 

BA enabled.

 

 

Now I am very aware of the fact that people clip trough walls, so when I`m hit trough the building I instantly run to change positions.

 

I am hit 4 times, he never missed a single bullet. He hit me on 2 different floors in 4 different positions.

 

Its clear he sees me trough the entire building.

 

Its clear he is not clipping as he does not miss one shot, he calmly shoots me 4 times with an m4 over a space of 30 seconds, while I am running.

 

After 40 hrs in this game I have been shot dead around 4 times, so I am pretty cautious

 - every death was suspect, but this was indisputable.

 

I have been gaming for 30 years, and have hosted and or  administrated countless FPS servers and this is the most sensitive and vulnerable to hacks I have seen.

It is CRUCIAL to have a working anti cheat / admins / report procedure in place.

 

There is nothing here that suggests to me this is a focus point.

 

 

I don't really care, I wont touch this again until I see PROOF without shadow of a doubt this is the main focus from project managers to combat.

I just want anyone affiliated to this to know I have brought several guys into this, I will not bring in any more nor play or buy anything I remotely associate with any this developer, its team and or  publisher.

 

I don't give a FF what anyone in this community thinks; But if any manager worth his salt reads this, you should take notice.

 

How you can work on a Multiplier online game without re-spawn and not focus on anti cheat in 2014 is just mindbogglingly dumb.

 

If you had half a brain every time you die you would have a way to report your death, making automated reports and  algorithms to sort out obvious erroneous claims based on game environment, movement, distance, obstructions and similar should be about 5 hours of work for a decent programmer.

 

You could offload policing to the community based on CS:GO "over-watch" model, and have dirt cheap self regulation mechanisms in place.

 

When you cant make a game that prohibits clipping trough walls, a bare minimum of effort to combat the plague that has ruined PC gaming for years are in order.

 

Whatever you claim to do or state an intent to do is not sufficient.

Lol @ this and the rest of the slander in your post. What else can they really do?

Do you seriously think that they aren't doing anything to combat hacking? You also said that you've been gaming for 30 years, have you never run into a hacker before? They is and will ALWAYS be hacks for games, especially PC games.

 

Edit: Also, "Riddled with cheaters" might not be the best thread title. As it seems you have run into one. I can't name a single online multiplayer game that I have played and not run into a hacker on.

I also have almost 200 hours on DayZ SA and I've yet to run into a hacker. I'm not saying that they aren't out there, I know they are and honestly, there always will be.

You could have just left without crying on the forums. Would have been a lot easier.

 

As of now I'm 90% sure there are no hacks for the standalone since it's not been opened to modding at all yet. If I'm wrong, cool. Suck it up. Welcome to video games Mr. "plays games for 30 years"

 

Actually, since you agreed to the disclaimer before even playing the game, you have no rights to be criticizing the Alpha version of DayZ to this extent.

Yes they exist, I've never run into one in the time that I've played (165ish hours) so "riddled" as already stated is probably a little over stated, and if you do come back and edit your post again the anti-cheat client is BE/VAC not BA.

 

Also people who make an account for the sole purpose of posting about "hackers" and only make the one post, I am suspect about as your standing in the community is nil and no-one can testify to to your character. Come back and join the community and maybe you'll be taken seriously when we know your not a clever ploy to trick the gullible into buying hacks and getting their accounts banned.

Your post screams immaturity and lack of intelligence. There would be numerous other things you could have done to report this instead of posting this to people who would have probably been willing to help you out, instead you insult everyone.

 

I have 170 hours played, never seen 1 hacker... not to mention this game is in very early development so that is quite the impressive feat IMO.

 

Go play any other alpha bro.... hmmm lets just pick one I bring up alot.. 50% of Rusts population are hackers... anyways.

I can name several; Tribes Ascend, world of tanks, war thunder and any decently administered listen server - just because you haven't seen it it does not mean it does not exist.

Its a defeatist attitude, to say you have to accept hackers in pc multiplayer games, and its counterproductive.

Noted; Vac sucks dogs balls, though - I have admined and hosted quite a few CS/CSS servers and its a piss poor solution.

Am I correct in the assumption that you may pay trough your nose to rent a server, but you have no way of actually banning the filth?

 

That a nice way to assure any one cheating is not punished, while offloading the bandwidth and server cost to your customers.

 

This game will crash and burn so hard its not even funny, but I guess they have made so much money nobody really cares.

This made me giggle. Really? Most vulnerable? So in this 30 years you missed games like counterstrike totally? ;)

Because having an admin kick persons or a kickvote system is such a good idea and is so good against vulnerability...

This is true. But report procedure without a deathcam and nametags is worthless. Working admins are not something the developers could do for...and the anti-cheat...well...BE IS working as far as I have seen. It just bans in waves...

And while I am not a developer or manager (well I do have a virtual football  club at hattrick.org...does that count? So I am a manager...damn lies...) If you are SO damn nice to this community, PLEASE be aware that you will normally get trolled, flamed and laughed from a lot of users if you post a serious question. A post with something like that makes also the rest of the people here just do the same.

And as I said countless times before: I hope for the sake of their mental sanity, that no dev, manager or anybody from BI, not even the janitor, reads the "General discussion". So no one will se it, no one will take notice and in the end you just made an ass out of yourself. Congratulations.

 

Srsly, if you want this to be seen by a developer or anybody from the team, Post it on reddit. If it gets upvoted enough, the team normally sees it.

Yeah. Horrible. All the games out there work perfect and nobody ever cheats in them. Oh, wait....I really don't know a SINGLE Multiplayergame without cheats, hacks, scripts etc.

Yeah. to find the one actual report that really is about a hacker per day in the 50000 of pissed Kiddies and KoSd whiners and trolls or just victims of desync, lag, exploits.

And I am pretty sure you must be a developer because you knwo how easy this would be. I work as a programmer (and if I did, I couldn't take you serious after this. So: Nice troll. But since I started I just continue) know, that such an algorithm, together with finding, storing and presenting these datavalues will take far more than 5 hours. Especially because nothing of the mentioned values does say anything about a cheater that uses aimbot. Or has teh pbos removesd. Or, or, or.

Answered; In this shambles of a game decent admins are the only way to combat this; It requires the ability to perm ban and to subscribe to global ban lists.

We kept a cluster of 40 CS servers squeaky clean for years.  We even had some fairly clean COD servers from classic until MW , you would typically need one admin on each team, but boy was the servers popular ( unless you cheated )

Sure, the way he words it, is completely laughable, however his issue is not. I've also noticed this kind of thing more and more, combined with teleport hacking and it can completely ruin the gameplay.

 

Then I rage a bit by punching other fresh spawns in the face and decide to wait for a fix. And if I would open a topic about it, I would do it in a respectable way towards the people reading it. How can you expect for people to take your ragepost seriously and for them to think "oh no, we should do something about this right now" ...

yeah well I've been gaming 30 years or more too and I've nearly 350 hours played in game and hacking is no where nearly as bad as it was in the mod, as the alpha progresses i'd imagine it will get tighter, there is a certain venerability at the minute certain players are exploiting, yeah it's not a great ending when you are killed by such a player but you have to suck it up.  instead of throwing a hissy fit.

wrong; this is the sort of gutless attitude that allows developers to make a living producing sub par quality games, riddled with cheats.

If more people were outspoken and clearly stated this was unacceptable, we would have most games with almost no cheaters in a heartbeat.

 

the problem is that you have to keep most processing server side, with high demands on costly servers and bandwidth.

 

(unless you consider my other options mentioned above)

 

I.e not good for gouging the ignorant masses financially.

it is not a released game, it is early testing. That being said, there are phases and milestones on the developers side.

 

One which has already been done is the implementation of both anti cheats, this had a huge impact on the early scripters.

 

So dont ya worry your little self, they are most certainly devoting man hours to fixing glitches and such.

 

Just to note, the eurogamer video from a few days ago (studio tour) rocket showed some map editor people and specifically mentioned these specific people were working on glitches in the maps (ie clipping through walls)

Well to be honest, with the amount of servers I have been on over the time of playing DayZ I have not encounter a hacker as off yet. However there is still time to encounter one but then it does depends if the server has active admins to stop these, which they can and is in the rules with the server. However they need to show the proof of that person is cheating etc.

You are a butthurt whiny child that once had "power" because it was the admin of some FPS servers (which maybe compensated something else) and now it was killed by someone using an exploit (which is already going to be fixed) and can't do anything against it. It's not been fixed in the sense you can't actually do it anymore, it's just BE is supposed to kick the player if certain .pbo's are missing. The problem with that is sometimes it can take up to "several minutes" to do so.

They could have used gameblocks which takes in the whole world environment but it needs to be set up by the producers of the game.

i dont think it would be good to add it,because they have a lot of other things that would tie up there time,maybe in the future they could try it,because it works really well if set up the right way..

Bf4 has or is using it and most of the sites claim to get round it but,there are lurkers on there forums and they have gotten to a point where they have to lower the hacks that much its not worth using them..
