My biggest issue with no vaulting while you have broken legs

Vaulting is currently a necesity to enter most buildings that have steps, getting shot in the legs would absolutely suck when you are stuck in the middle of the street becuase you can't vault into the houses. I would like to see a climbing animation to take place of the vaulting animation. Anyone else have any issues with no longer being able to vault while you have broken legs?'

I believe the OP is referring to the upcoming patch where you can't vault with broken legs. Personally, I think it's great they're fixing it. Have you ever tried standing with a broken leg? The fact that we can currently vault/climb ladders with broken legs is silly.

The fact that you can stand on your broken legs is weird enough. I've played PLENTY of ARMA and so have gotten used to the idea of scissor kicking myself around, or watching my friends do the same. I kinda like that they're fixing it for DayZ, considering its a survival game rather than a military sim where survival aspects aren't exactly the focus.

Last time I had broken legs I was at the bottom of the lift shaft glitched below floor level.  Without the stand and vault ability I would of been screwed.....

I agree with this actually, how the hell do people expect to be able to do certain things with a broken leg? Though I have to admit, climbing a ladder is possible still. Let broken leg hang, use good leg for support, and use arms to drag your sorry ass up, one at a time.

 

When I say sorry ass btw, I don't mean you, I mean anyone in general, including myself.

 

(Had to use ladders for suicide a couple of times when stuck in the middle of no where, with no help)

I think you should be able to stand in one leg being the other leg broken, in experimental you can be crouched only , and this is a problem because I think it can get you trapped inside one building being unable to climb stairs and such.

Agreed.  I can't actually believe that there's a thread complaining about not being able to VAULT with BROKEN LEGS.....
