Frothyboot18 46 Posted February 26, 2014 So, I'm new in Europe, so I posted an ad here at the forums looking for friends to play dayz with, a guy responded and we met on a half full server... And connected on ts...We decided to go to a mil base and loot for ammo and food, I had an m4, acog and all the magpul attachments on it... Anyways, as we're approaching the first building with the jail cell, he shoots and kills a guy, truth be told, I never saw the guy as I was busy looking at the atc for snipers, or signs of people. After killing the guy, he loots the body by the door, I saw him take the m4 off of the body, I then checked the hangars, I hear four m4 shots, he then tells me on ts that he is dead, I immediately rush back to the building and cover the entrance, I'm circling the building trying to peek at the windows, constantly asking him where the shooter was, first floor or second floor, he said he didn't know(hard to believe but plausible), I asked him where he was shot and he said he doesn't remember(spider senses started tingling), then what got me really doubtful was when he kept asking where I was.... Not wanting to look like a pussy, I said I was by the window camping the door, as soon as I finished speaking, I ran like Rambo into the building, I'll never forget the green beret hat and aviators his char had on, I died, but not before shooting him too, I assume I killed him too coz he just said goodbye on ts and left but continued playing dayz(from what I saw on his steam status) 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
xFragileDreamsx 7 Posted February 26, 2014 Wow. Quite the story. Time to look for more trustworthy people. He seem suspecious to you on voice chat at all? I've so far been a pretty good judge. odin_lowe 3686 Posted February 26, 2014 Why would people do this? I mean, in game while using voip I can understand but to add someone to your steam list, and join TS? That's a great lengh just to get some gear?! He could have just did what he did first and go KoS anyone he met at the airfields or whatever. This is so wrong in many ways. Frothyboot18 46 Posted February 26, 2014 He wasn't that talkative on ts, i wasn't alarmed coz I'm not that talkative on ts either... But looking back, I should have been suspicious when he asked me if I was geared or not, and what kind of gear I have on, this was before the whole "ruined" patch. U meet some good people, u meet some bad ones, lol but I've met some really stand up guys here... xFragileDreamsx 7 Posted February 26, 2014 I'm not the most talkative either. Id probably be suspecious if there wasn't much communication. The people I met communicated a bit. Its still kind of crazy he went through such lengths. Hopefully it doesn't happen again. I find playing with at least three people to be awesome. Its even more fun if you bond a little on your adventures, but that might just be me. The past year I find talking to others in game to be quite fun.
