Can't Go On Experimental/Testing Servers

Alright, so I've been wanting to go on Experimental Servers, so I did all the necessary steps.

I went into my steam settings and changed the Beta Participation to where I can do the testing n stuff. The update went through, but when I went to join an Experimental Server, it said I had a bad version. This is happening to both me and my pal, are we skipping something?

Possible that it is a bit out of sync, as Steam takes a while to update. Is this a persisting thing or only just happened?
