alldaypk 63 Posted February 23, 2014 Because you pressed the push to talk button..In all seriousness, maybe if your computer is low enough specs something like that can set thing out of balance.

djporternz 644 Posted February 23, 2014 Hard to help without more info. What headset are you using? Wired/wireless? What's the MB audio chipset?

InvisiMan2013 229 Posted February 23, 2014 When I press my push to talk button I get a burst of lag then I am fine, anyone know why? Lag as in latency, or lag as in choppiness? If you have a slow internet connection, it could explain latency issues when you are using voip, since you are sending more packets to transmit your voice. if it's choppiness, there could very well be a bug someone, but it's best to report to the bug tracker if you believe it's an issue that's not related to your internet connection. Berkhof 3 Posted February 24, 2014 my internet is fine :/ it seems to not bother anyone else when they use the mic button.weird. goto www.speedtest.net and check your speeds. getting latency lag when using voip could be due to not enough upload bandwidth, NOT download.say for example, you have 20mb download, but only 0.5mb upload. the game would be perfectly fine, as normal gameplay is generally just small packets of data being sent to the server. but when sending voice (much larger bandwidith required compared to gameplay), your upload bandwidth maybe exceeded. Irish. 4886 Posted February 24, 2014 Check your control settings and make sure your PTT button is not set up with anything else.. Like say image capture or fraps video record.. It would make sense if you're taking an image every time you use PTT which would slow down any PC at least ever so slightly.
Pwnzors 0 Posted February 24, 2014 hmmm my PTT is set to default. I have no fraps or anything else. I also tried changing the PTT to a key that was not bound to anything else and still lag, i adjusted my videos settings to the lowest, still lag.. idk whats going on but all my friends seem to have no problems. any other game I have has no problems as well.
