Are Zombies Running?

Recommended Posts

Im not sure if this is a bug or if they drastically increased zombie movement speed. But basically I can run as fast as I want and when I turn around the zombies are always right behind me. Any ideas?

They nerfed/fixed the fists up running. You run at the same speed fists up as you would with fists down. Try losing them by going through buildings, bushes and jumping over fences.

But I thought zombies were slower than we were. Is it possible that they follow right behind me through building and over every obstacle?

The jumper types are quite fast and will leap if you stop for too long. Soldier ones are harder to kill. They follow you to the last spot where they saw you, if they see you again they keep on chasing you.

This still doesnt seem possible. Every zombie I've encountered so far is doing this...

I heard Rocket say in a recent interview that zombies are now faster, this is a result of server optimisation.  Due to this optimisation i assume they are able to react faster... I assume this is what you are seeing.
