Whatever they do, I hope they do not tie "skills" to weapon accuracy...at all.. ever.. Whoever thinks that is a good idea is not thinking straight.

 

 

Edit: To clarify, I am all for skills for things like mechanics, tailoring, etc.. But not for weapon ACCURACY/recoil.

you mean, just like in real life, when people train to get better at shooting? yeah yeah, totally game-breaking, you should spawn on the coast and go full vassili zaitsev as soon as you get your first mosin.

They already have passive skill increase. Start opening up cans with screwdrivers and fireaxes. Notice you'll drop just a tad less each time.

Character progression is a complete mistake to add to the game, ruins the entire DayZ formula and leaves it open to exploitation to the max..ugh.....

Even the creator of the game acknowledges it's a failed formula. There's a reason why so many long, long standing online multiplayers all had extensive skill progressions
