Dead-lines have lead to games like CoD, BrokenField 4, and many other games. In my personal opinion, I'm happy hes not rushing it. Quality over quantity.

EXP BRANCH HAS IT NOW.

it should be tested on there for a week.

i'd say in 5-7 dayz we'll have it.

the rain system overhaul is gonna be tricky to get to stable, and i don't want it rushed.

ha i'm not saying they should rush it. I'm just saying sometimes it's better to have some goals and deadlines rather than a "hey we'll get it done whenever" mentality. That's just me though :D

except there's one or two of those games every year and i've been waiting for full SA for going on 3 years now

...

and it's worse than the mod right now and in a year... IT MIGHT BE BETTER!

*sigh*

haterz gon hate but they gotta be logical

But Dean and the team doesn't have that opinion. They are working hard IMO, and what they do isn't really easy work. Massive engine changes, bug fixing, and all general game things. But this is much different. Also, he has a life too. I really appreciate Dean as a developer.

Oh I appreciate him as a developer, as well. I'm just saying productivity usually tends to favor those who set goals and deadlines :) nothing more.

Exactly because they push manpower (ie 9 woman) they release those games.

But because (9 woman) manpower alone does NOT make a good game - those are all "not brilliant".

Better a small team that will take their time and then release something really good instead of just increasing the devs tenfold

and then releasing a pile of crap 10 times faster.

(Also in reality even if you put 10x the manpower in softwaredevelopment you will not finish 10x faster but that is another story)
