So  I was doing the best ive ever done. I had plenty of food and water, an axe, and a gun. I was on my way to the airfield. Everything was great. I logged of for a lunch break, when I go back on im on the coast again, with nothing. What the hell happened...

or you logged out with someone near and they killed you during the 30 second timer or you were on a dodgy server that doesnt connect to the hive properly ..

 

When choosing a server pick an official sounding one oh and if it has a high pop usually means its a solid server there is a reason some servers have a low pop( they might run poorly they might have bad admin they may not connect to hive properly and thus delete your character all the time..

 

OH ITS ALPHA ( although its not usually a hive dayz problem)

Hello there

 

Im going to close this as you have had some good indicators as to what has happened and to save you from the impending floods of sarcasm.

 

Have a search around, this is a known issue and can have various reasons.

 

Lastly, never expect to keep your character or stuff you can lose them at anytime as the game is indeed in Alpha.
