A question about what happens when you combat log.

I haven't seen someone combat log since they changed that system, and I'm curious as to what happens to someone now who is stupid enough to combat log. Do they just crouch for 30 seconds or do they sit down as if they'd pressed F3?

i have seen 2 ( killed both of them ) one just sat there one did a sit stand sit repeat...

The character would go ONE position lower than what he was.

 

If he was standing, he would crouch, if he was crouched he would sit, if he was sitting he would prone, if he was prone... he would... uhmmm.... implode?

 

Anyway.

He would remain in that position for 30 seconds staring into the middle distance like an idiot, upon which he will disappear.

Unless he got killed.

They do what I call the clog dance. I've seen it many times (I guard my raiding party while they log) It goes like this:

 

crouch

go prone

crouch

F3 sitdown

Look around (head turns side to side)

Vanish

My experiences never go that long...

Yeah I watch them from close proximity from the second they sign off so I get to see the full animation in some detail. It's hilarious.

 

Edit: I also timed it, it lasts exactly 30 seconds, as the patch notes said.

These forums are fantastic, there they only forums I frequent.

 

I was at NWAF when I heard some some going to town on a bag of rice. I said heloo and that I was friendly so he sat down. I walked over to him at sat down with him until POOF hes gone. Head swiveling and sitting is a sure sign to shoot someone.
