Does anyone know if there is a range on voice communication and keyboard communication?  I type a message will all players see it?

Which one? Direct mic or the Keyboard?

If you really want to communicate with armed players I recommend pickung up a walkie talkie and turning it to the default channel of 87.8fm and just talking over that when you see someone. People will hear you in direct coms while talking to the walkie talkie so I normaly always have m walkie talkie on.

Both, the range is the same wether you type or speak....and yeah, 50 was probs a very high guess lol...Lee's values seem more correct, use those when your deciding when to speak ;)

I didnt realize there was a walkie in the standalone. I suppose I dont know about a lot of stuff still. Im still kind of new to the game. only 20 hours or so.

hmm no proof other than stalking people but id say your closer to correct i have watched listened to players from a decent range out.

 

PS typing is non directional so they cant tell where you are voice is one of the few things in game i have found that gives good idea of direction and range....

You can usually find them in the Fire houses.
