BattlEye bans in waves, and it does work.

It doesn't make cheating 'absoltely impossible all the time' though, nothing does.

Don't worry. Once BattleEye detects them, they're going to be banned in waves followed by ANOTHER ban, but from VAC, disabling their Steam account for cheating and for using third party software for hacks!

 

That, and you may sometimes see some posts saying battle eye banning for no reason. Ignore them, they're either mad hackers or people that confuse a ban with a kick.  :)
