That's an insult to fists.

Blunt weapons are not really convincing right now. For example baseball bats:

-The range is too short

-You have to rubber band into zombies to properly hit them

-Swing sound plays instantly after pressing the key but the actual swing is a bit later

Might just be me, but I haven't had any issues so far using my machete. Fists take 5-7 hits, the machete takes three. That's a big difference.

To me it doesn't look like a true machete, it's just a longer and sharper kitchen knife, hopefully of miracle blade III perfect series, i bet chef tony would be proud, he never thought to put zombies into the commercial spot ahah

I can land a knockout punch before a machete will down an opponent, and a buddy of mine has adopted the screwdriver as his pre-fire axe weapon of choice simply because he seems to have a knack for taking both people and zombies out with it.

None of the people I play with are a fan of the machete. It's just underwhelming.

When i found my first Machete i used it in battle trying to kill a zombie, probably hit him 7-8 times without him dying. After that i havn't even picked it up, even though i didn't have any weapon at all :Z

Yeah, three shots to the head. It should take one. It's a fucking machete. Also, I hate how you have to hobble around in fists mode when using it.

I tried counting the hits it would take to kill a zombie with a machete without going for headshots. I ended up with over 10 confirmed hits, yet the zombie didn't die. I threw the machete away instantly, useless piece of garbage right now.

Man.

I understand, that not every weapon must be stronger/more OP.

But†:

  1. The Machete is just a larger butter knife
  2. It takes way to long to kill anyone. Even Zeds eat more then 6-7 hits.

My suggestion would be:

  • Machete's cutting edge (slightly) longer.
  • Damage a bit higher, but not too much
  • Let us sharp the machete with a stone, so they deal more dmg, and kill with 2-3 strikes. Stones are kinda rare, and so would be sharp and deadly machetes.

thoughts on that?

Title was confusing, thanks for clearing that up.

It also means you can run and sprint at [no weapon in hands] speed Edited by ploulaf
