Aliens!

So I was looting this body after a gunfight at Berezino and picked up that poor fella's Mosin when the "No message received for ..." popped up and I got disconnected from the server.

 

After rejoining I found myself stripped to my underwear, my whole gear and even my shoes were gone!

 

I was still healthy and well hydrated and energized so I thought it's no big deal, I'll just scavenge the town ... or the shipwreck at Rify ... or the NEA ... or all the other places in between ... but no loot to be found.

 

I also wondered where all the zombies went. I could hear them chasing me, but they were nowhere to be seen ...

 

So I walked around a bit until I heard some zombie noises and stood still for a while ... 

 

... AND WAS BEATEN TO DEATH BY AN INVISIBLE ZOMBIE!

 

That's when I got suspicious. I joined several other servers - hardcore and regular, high and low pop - with the same result. No loot, invisible zombies.

 

tl;dr: I can't see any loot or zombies anymore - loot doesn't seem to exist and at all, but zombies are definitely there and can kill me, but I can't see them. I deleted all the game files and reinstalled, didn't help.

 

off-topic: I've seen several zombies dying in strange ways lately. One was chasing me through the woods, I turned around to take a shot at it but before I could pull the trigger it tripped over a root and died instantly. Another one tried to jump at me from some scaffolding and fell to it's instant death. Another one decided to run away from me and drowned itself in Svetlo harbour. Therefore I conclude aliens have taken over DayZ and are doing secret experiments with my virtual me.

Any suggestions on how to get out of the twilight zone and escape the vicious aliens? I feel lonely here without all that rotten fruit ...

Saw this exact same thing once while investigating claims of zombie infestation throughout the area of black forest (conclusive evidence proves this to be true). One female zombie was running towards me, down a hill from the tree line. It seemed to trip on something and just fell down and disappeared a few moments later.

I had some zombies mysteriously fall and die while chasing me. Thought I had a secret admirer. Or that I was next. No other players around though.

Okay the issue resolved itself somehow.

 

I was running up and down the coast until the server restarted - I didn't need to eat or drink anything because apparently I couldn't die of starvation/dehydration either. Really a strange bug.

 

However after re-joining I can now again see the lootable objects and also my dear zombie friends.

 

I'm glad the aliens finally released me!

 

Still wondering if any of you ever experienced something similar?

 

 

PS. I also just found a Mosin, a shotgun and an M4 in the same shed after scavenging half of Cherno and two piano houses full of sodas with no sign of a gun. Stop your shenanigans, dear aliens!
