Demoth 366 Posted February 12, 2014 After the latest patch, bullets do absurdly low damage.I am talking from the receiving end mostly. I've been walloped by a point blank sawed off shotgun blast that ruined all of my gear except my gun which was an M4, so I hosed the guy.Then today I was shot a total if 23 times by an SKS.Each time I took 2 or 3 rounds (can tell by the white flash shock). The fights were spread out and I healed up between some, but that's a ridiculous amount of punishment. (And all those SKS'ers were again killed by my M4).While looking for ammo, I got a new tac-vest in Balota barracks. I had a Mosin and suddenly the doors swung open.I shot the guy point blank in the chest. He let out a cry of pain and started bleeding, but this was the sawed off guy. It took a second shot to his head to kill him (all his head gear and torso geat were ruined)I feel the M4 is inna good place because it's crazy in CQC.But more than 1 chest shot for a 7.62x51mm? C'mon now... and the 7.62x39mm doesn't care if you have an assault vest with some beans. 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

And this is why people need to read the thread before making an opinion on it, not just the title. He's talking about having taken too much damage to survive. And he's right, it is odd that you can survive a blast from a sawed-off shotgun at point-blank range. Oh man, sorry for making a suggestion and giving feedback on the suggestion part of the forums. WHOOPS! It's not whining, it's simply explaining my position and giving some anecdotes about what needs to be tweaked. I shouldn't have survived the insane amount of punishment I received, and hence I just wanted to let the dev team know, or anyone who might even glance this, that even if these values are temporary, they are definitely not remotely in the right direction. akafugitive 244 Posted February 12, 2014 (edited) Wrong, it's very possible to survive a shotgun blast to the chest, just not possible to walk away from it. Read my post in my signature on the health system (The Player)Actually a 7.62 at close range will do less then a 5.56 or a .45 because it will just tumble and pass through the body. A 5.56's back end will curl over the tip and break apart causing a large cavity in the body= massive trauma. whothehellishe 81 Posted February 12, 2014 Got shot in the chest from SKS, vest from pristine got ruined, again 1 shot from the SKS at the feet got crippled, shot twice by M4 in the chest with pristine vest and died, got 1 shot killed several times by the new rifle and the shotgun, i got shot in the chest and legs with pristine vest and survived, took me 15 minutes to heal from healthy status, so ye i still think you could be wrong. Mosin sure, its a bit fucked. While in the ATC in Balota, I just got hit twice with a Mosin. I ran downstairs, bleeding and fuzzy screen and another dude came in and shotgunned me. I killed him with 4 shots from the magnum (because of server lag, not sure how many shots were actually needed to kill with the magnum, as no one has shot me with one yet) Soooo, I dunno.
