bigfrak 116 Posted February 10, 2014 (edited) Tryed looking on the forums did not find anything on this. There needs to be some sort of timer for dead body's, so you have time to loot. I just shot someone and before i could get to his body he was gone, i know it will stay there if he just re spawns but if you leave the server it is gone, the devs need to fix this, bc at this point you cant kill and get there gear, all they have to do it log off. So any info on if the devs are working on this or any info if anyone is having the problem would be great, i think just having a death timer like the combat log would help, say like if your dead and you log off your body will still be there for say 2min or so. blackberrygoo 1416 Posted February 19, 2014 Well I don't know the developers stand point on robbing your own dead body (I personally think if people think that looting your own body is unrealistic and should be removed, thAt the only way is to make is so you can't see your own body after dyin to make it realistic ) . But I honestly don't mind being able to loot your own dead body , I think it's not a big deal and I'm pretty sure they (devs) would have it so the bodies disappeared with the server restart IF the servers could handle it . I think the timer for dead bodies disappearing after ten minutes was added a bunch of patches ago because of server issues , not so people couldn't loot their body so hopeful when the servers are stable well see bodies everywhere til restart . And this maybe a pipe dream but if loot were to respawn id say zombies should be the ones to eat bodies and clean up the server (assuming we wouldn't need constant restarts anymore because loot /zombies would be respawning) ? (unless the body was hidden by someone) I'm not sure if that's still the same in the mod or not but I'm sure they intend to do something to make the bodies stay longer in the standalone. Probably to less clutter servers with unusefull crap(s) for now.
