True North

I'm having a debate with a team mate, and I'd like some clarification if you don't mind. (I tried a search, no result).

My team mate swears North is different between in-game and exterior map (ie dayzdb map). This makes no sense to me.

I say the dayzdb map is set in a position showing North as straight up, and the in-game compass follows the same North direction.

Am I right?

The compass and map match each other with regards to navigation. You do however have to orientate the map as you do in real life.

 

I always have the map loaded on my kindle while I'm playing.

 

EDIT: So......yes, north on the map is north in the game.

But yes maps north on the web page and compass north are the same..

I meant "correct" North, not True North.

In-game map is worth of gold cause you can see everything from it. And it works as map should work.
