FPS Drops after 30 seconds then Game Freezes

So after this current patch (115106, server 34.0) Log in just fine loads generally pretty fast.

Approximately 30 or so seconds into game play, start to lose massive FPS slowly at first then really fast until finally game freezes completely. After it completely freezes I have to use CTRL+ALT+DELETE to exit the game and I notice in task manager memory usage is around 850,000 K. I have tried on Desktop and Laptop and both have been running everything very high setting since patch have moved setting down to normal then to low still with no luck.

 

Desktop Stats (Alienware R6)

Intel Core i7-3930K

16 Gb DDR3 Ram

Dual Radeon HD 7960

 

Laptop Stats (Alienware M18x)

Intel Core i7-3610QM

32 GB DDR3 Ram

Dual Nvidia GTX 675M

This happened to me and what i did was go in to a server, look at my inventory including any containers (first aid kit, yellow plastic case) and if the item in my inventory was flashing and flickering i dropped, all flickering things even my m4 butt stock (the rest of it wasn't flickering and nothing was painted). once i dropped them i changed servers and the FPS problem was gone. hope this works and you might have to drop a lot of good gear.

Some are reporting that painting m4 parts will fix the FPS issue as well... but you do have to do it every play session it seems.

Unfortunately no paint and not dropping my M4 either since its fully kitted out minus suppressor. I dropped everything that was flickering or had no color so we will see if that works if not guess the M4 will just have to go until this all gets fixed.

Well I have definitely fixed the problem, anything and everything glitched in my bag I dropped and I was able to play just fine. After I did that I jumped off a building to respawn a new character and so far nothing I have picked up has glitched in my bag running just fine, so it definitely seems to be an issue with gear carried over pre patch into this one.

Guess they should fix this or just purge the hive so that everybody get rid of the glitchy items.

I have been playing for around 2 hours straight now with no issues at all, got rid of the glitch items FPS is fixed and no more freezes.

I played all day with mostly the same gear and then suddenly (I was running through woods and hadn't picked up anything new in a while) my performance tanks and becomes unplayable and starts freezing. I had been playing most of the day and some of last night on the new patch.

Yeah there is still an issue, I was running north of Zelenegorsk after not having any issues at all for over an hour and I started lagging bad until it froze again and had to CRTL+ALT+DEL out to force close program.Then  I logged on this morning was doing fine for about 4-5 minutes then lagged out until froze again their is an obvious issue somewhere that needs to be fixed.

This was on a new Character as well, No gear brought over from last patch at all. And never found a glitching or flickering item in bag, last item I picked up was a cowboy hat though, didn't lag me out when I picked it up wore for about 45 minutes before issues started again so don't believe it is related to that item.

It will return though if you go near such objects or players carrying such objects again. The only real fix is the upcoming hotfix for this, unfortunately.

I'm locked up and the dayz.exe has stopped responding before I can even open my inventory, but then I have 5 protestor cases and a med box with 2 painted weapons.  I might have more success with my 3p character has they don't have painted guns, but the exe stops responding after about 30's, probably cause that character has the same amount of protector cases I think..

did you buy chance see how much memory dayz.exe was using in the task manager? mine was 1,237,500 K when it froze up on me last time that has been the most I have seen it.

Oh really? I guess i'll just leave it until patch then..

 

edit : no I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary tbh, I can use up to 1.8gb usually..

I was able to log back in this afternoon, and I found more glitching items. These Items I have picked up in houses or buildings since patch not sure if they were glitching right away when I picked them up but they definitely were glitching in my bag when I logged back on, I dropped them and left behind and able to stay lag free for the time being will see how it lasts.

Yeah I have overcome it will just killing my old guy off from last build and making sure I don't keep glitched items.
