ammo box

again sorry if this is posted elsewhere - I found a metal ammo box that had ten free slots in it but just takes up a couple of slots or so in your backpack - I put some ammo in it - 50 bullets for some gun I dont think I have got - I now cant see the ammo, cant take it out and cant seem to do anything with the box - it is not a big deal cos I dont think I have the gun the ammo was for anyway but does anyone know how to use the box properly? If I find the gun in question will I be able to load it from the ammo box? If I put other ammo in it will I be able to access it later?

put the box in your hands to be safe, I put ammo boxes and medkits on my hotkeys so I don't have to risk dropping them and glitching

This is the best way if you don't need to see all the slots.  I have had the box fall through floors or the ground when i put it on the ground. 

 

On a side note, make sure you condense all the ammunition to the maximum stackable amount.  If you are stacking 556, you can load the 60 round mags and unload them to create 60 round stacks instead of the normal 30.  Takes up half the space and will help save space.

I would not do that, there's a good chance they'll 'fix' that and you'll lose half your ammo.  And it really only works for 5.56 NATO.

If you want to see all the slots just put in hands,transfer the first five into your backpack and the next ones will pop up,way safer than dropping it with the lag/disconnect issues atm

never had anything glitch through a floor unless it wasn't the bottom floor, even then it goes to the bottom floor, and for some dumb reason you have to put ammo boxes on the ground to see all the ammo, i can only assume it will be fixed.
