Burnham113 29 Posted February 19, 2014 only female characters would be able to wear these and would add to the realism. I disagree, I think any character should be able too. This is a simulator, anything in real life flys right?
Burnham113 29 Posted February 19, 2014 Well,i like the idea, but as long as we label the female clothing "special",categorise them as "accesory items" and only allow female player models to wear them or things will get messy, like seeing dudes in skirt and stockings screaming on their mics "I'm a preety princess"....It's also weird that all female models come with short hair but i think that will be fixed on the next patches. And what would be wrong with that? We already have naked cowboys roaming the streets.
cj14 189 Posted February 20, 2014 I disagree, I think any character should be able too. This is a simulator, anything in real life flys right? WRONG. This is no simulator is a MMO Survival Horror (even if there's no horror yet)
cj14 189 Posted February 20, 2014 I vote yes. Something like this Nah, that's way too kinky for the game (she has a nice ass btw) but thight pants got my vote
cj14 189 Posted February 20, 2014 This is in russia, they don't have stupid slut whore looking american summer clothing nor do I want that bullshit in a apocalyptic scenario. First. Chernarus is based on Czech Repubblic, not Russia kid...Second. In Czech Rep, America United States, Russia, Brazil, Chile, England, Philippines...they have those stupid slut whore looking summer clothing...so you'll have to suck it up
Burnham113 29 Posted February 20, 2014 WRONG. This is no simulator is a MMO Survival Horror (even if there's no horror yet) So then this is second life, with zombies? At it's very core this game will always be what it was originally designed to be: a military/survival simulator.
cejota14 130 Posted February 20, 2014 I don't want sluts in the game, but sexy outfit wouldn't be bad right? I mean, men character are very fit and have a sexy undershirt and boxers...why can't we have our version of that?
cejota14 130 Posted February 20, 2014 So then this is second life, with zombies? At it's very core this game will always be what it was originally designed to be: a military/survival simulator. That's a huge mistakes if it were a survival SIMULATOR we wouldn't have the MMO elements and it would be like your Second Life. But I agree this is a Survival Horror without the horror completely implemented. Is closer to a MMO Resident Evil than a simulator of any kind. Arma 2 was a simulator and I understand they both use the same kind of engines if not the very same, so it's obviously some of the game's components are gonna be simulator oriented, but the game's core has been a Survival Horror since the mod's first day. They just chose Arma 2 to be the base game, that's all
cj14 189 Posted February 20, 2014 This game is like a mix between Resident Evil, Lineage II, Metal Gear Solid, Call of Duty, Left 4 Dead and Habbo

Mrs. Zealous 12 Posted February 20, 2014 I agree that it would be nice to see women's clothes. In real life I can buy hiking clothes that are very practical and still look feminine. However in the game the women somehow don't look all that attractive or feminine to me. In my opinion the men look much better than the women. Maybe part of that is because of how they move and not just the clothes. In the game I have no desire to dress in a skirt or in heels or have my stomach hang out.but I would like a more feminine look. Its probably a difficult balance to achieve a feminine look without it looking completely impractical or too sexy/slutty though. Also at first I was completely against heels being in the game but ever since I happened across the "leather shoes" which description reads "Fancy leather shoes suited for office work or social events. The leather sole provides good slide for dancing." and which look like typical men's dress shoes it sort of seems like there should also be some impractical women's shoes as well. Its only fair right?
Sum Ting Wong 45 Posted February 20, 2014 Its probably a difficult balance to achieve a feminine look without it looking completely impractical or too sexy/slutty though. Changing the walk/run animation with some more butt wiggling (like for instance something alike catwoman's walk/run from batman's city game, which is one of the best i think), would be sufficient to achieve a more feminine look. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKYf6mqna5U Btw, of course i don't mean exactly like catwoman, because catwoman is one of a kind. But as an exxagerated example... something in the line of... And yes, i agree the women could use better clothing. Also the underwear.Because, would there be any women in Chernarus wearing granny's American underwear with stars on it? seriously? btw, forgive my first post in this thread, it was just for fun obviously. Private Evans 1303 Posted February 20, 2014 (edited) Sadly a large group of players thinks it is only immersive and realistic to find M4's and unisex camo clothing all over the place,,, beside male AND female clothes there should also be things like toys and even children clothes...in this case I also hope for more different faces and hairstyles as well as different ages. NOT every survivor in such a scenario would be a 25 years old male !!. To create a real believable game world Rocket and team should fix that in the future.. just my two cents.... dvsilverwing 241 Posted February 20, 2014 No skirts. No heels. Just have the current clothing contour more to the women's figure when they equip them.
Sum Ting Wong 45 Posted February 20, 2014 yus Yus in EnglishLittle yus (), or jus, are letters of the Cyrillic script, representing two Common Slavonic nasal vowels in the early Cyrillic and Glagolitic alphabets. Each can occur in iotified form , formed as ligatures with the letter Decimal I (І). Other yus letters are blended yus , closed little yus and iotified closed little yus. Thanks for this rather cryptic, but wonderful attribution to this thread.

basinox 300 Posted February 21, 2014 Update: Rocket confirmed that he doesn't want gender specific items because they are to much work for something only a part of the players can use.so if woman clothes get added everybody will be able to wear them. - Karma - 75 Posted February 21, 2014 Update: Rocket confirmed that he doesn't want gender specific items because they are to much work for something only a part of the players can use.so if woman clothes get added everybody will be able to wear them. It does make sense though. That was what I was asking back on page one - would it really be worth it to design and implement an item only some of the player pop could wear, the answer was no. Now that doesn't sound like they won't introduce women's clothing, it just won't be specific to female characters. That all said, glad to see this thread is still going. Private Evans 1303 Posted February 21, 2014 "Beards may not get in due to being to gender specific and too much work." Honestly I think this uni sex approach is the completely wrong way. At least for those of us who are rollplaying this game, trying to get lost in a believable gameworld. Players who enyoy the survival, horror and social interaction elements. Different genders, races, ages etc are a vital part of such a scenario and should get more attention . I imagine a group of survivors more looking like Rick's group from the Walking Dead ( or even from Left 4Dead) than having a bunch of 25 years old males all wearing camo clothing, gasmasks and being armed to the teeth. There is no need for making 50 different guns in this game if this means essential rollplaying stuff will be left out. It is also stupid talking about the Kos mentality and pure military shooter gameplay on one side but on the other hand forcing exactly this kind of gameplay by adding tons of weapons but leaving rollplay aspects out that would add more value to the players character. Don't get me wrong here, the weapon moidells are amazing and I love my SKS riffle ( This is my riffle, there are many like it but this one is mine) but when I see a poll about what weapon modells people would like to see(which is cool) it seems clear where the priorities are. You can't tell me that creating a new gun from the scratch is that more work than creating a few female only clothes for example.... no rant just my thoughts :-)
sausagekingofchicago 4711 Posted February 21, 2014 (edited) Some of the zeds are in rather interesting clothing so I don't see why they wouldn't exist in the world. If a guy like Rossums wants to wear a skirt, why not let him? Chaos, madness... "Johnny Mad Dog" movie Off topic, great film. timedance 120 Posted February 21, 2014 (edited) There's been talk about using horses as transportation in the future, maybe also some riding clothing and even riding helmets for protection. riding clothes, sounds gay for me... sorry Edited February 21, 2014 by TiMEDANCE
Mrs.Sinister 13 Posted February 21, 2014 Just no. No sexy female clothing, no skirts, no ridiculous little tank tops, heels or butt wiggles. In a zombie apocalypse, i'm wearing cargo pants, long sleeve tops, hoodies n jackets with pockets, or some other protective clothing, trainers or boots. I do not wanna be prancing round, wiggling my ass in a mini skirt. I understand that these items would exist in the world but I don't think there is any need to add them to the game. I do agree that they need to improve on the female model as I look like a guy with my hair scraped back into a bun. Just a small touch like a little more feminine facial features. Other than that, I don't think there is a problem with the female model or the clothing.
Duenan 226 Posted February 21, 2014 I wanna prance down the streets of cherno in my hot pink dress with a tricked out M4! seriously though some fitted pants and shirts shouldnt be that hard. I mean really do I have to look like a butch lesbian just to live in the zombie apocalypse?
Private Evans 1303 Posted February 23, 2014 One very important aspect of such an apocalyptic scenario ( in our case a virus outbreak) is that I would expect the survivors to be a mix out of different races, genders and ages who now have to learn to survive ...You can find this in nearly every zombie or apocalyptic movie or series. Even in an action game like Left4Dead...I am repeating myself but having mainly 25 years old ex special forces survivors seems not realistic to me, especially not for a game that provides so many awesome nice details when it comes to game world and survival mechanics stuff...I am really sad that this important point gets nearly no love from the devs....No need for Manga girlies but women should look like women (including their clothes) ....and why not playing as Hershel Greene...?
