soulfirez 901 Posted February 7, 2014 I've never had any trouble with weapon accuracy. Don't use Hollywood movies as an example of how firearms work irl. You'd be lucky to hit anything beyond 10 meters with a pistol if you were standing and that's with a 9mm. Anywhere beyond 400m using a 5.56 chambered rifle is practically ineffective anyway. Most 'sniper' rifles are only effective up to 1000m and anything beyond that is classed as harassing fire. Games are never fully realistic, but arma and dayz come the closest that I have ever seen.lol my wife with no gun experience at all had no problem hitting a target at 25 m when i took her to a range using 9mm using 44magnum using .45 all of that standing. have to ask do you have any experience with guns???? I have enough experience of firing weapons in contacts and anyone can hit targets on a static range. I implore anyone to hit a moving target beyond 30m when you are blowing out of your arse (pistol). I'm not looking for people to agree with this and quite frankly I don't have to justify anything to anyone. So many 'experts' have never fired a weapon anywhere else than a range. on3c3nt 185 Posted February 7, 2014 You are wrong. A gun will always hit exactly where the sight is at. The difficulty is in lining up the sight with the target. Comparing the SA to Arma 3, I'm always surprised by how much more difficult but rewarding Arma3 aiming is. There is a whole lot of weapon sway, and getting the target into the sight is hard. But once you have it there, the bullet will hit.ehh... no? i don't know what kind of weapons you are shooting in reallife and if you shoot on something less than 10m away, but i haven't seen a gun always shooting at where the sight is, even with precisely calibrating the sights
over9000nukez 199 Posted February 7, 2014 you can 1 shot people in the toe... I did it to my friend's by accident :(
Jack Dant 158 Posted February 7, 2014 ehh... no? i don't know what kind of weapons you are shooting in reallife and if you shoot on something less than 10m away, but i haven't seen a gun always shooting at where the sight is, even with precisely calibrating the sightsHunting rifles. When zeroing them from a good gun rest to negate as much user error as possible, my rifle can put 3 holes touching at 200m. In the field, I cannot do that, but that's my fault, not the gun's. zeroy 240 Posted February 7, 2014 Are we talking aim down sight, from the hip, third person? Frankly, if you are going to complain about something, be specific! In my own experience aiming down sight with any of the weapon at short to medium range is bang on center.

So many 'experts' have never fired a weapon anywhere else than a range. 4 of my best friends have combat experience in Afghanistan / Baghdad. One of them was a door kicker in Baghdad and saw plenty of urban combat. He's laughing right now at your posts, because you clearly don't know shit.
fitzee 248 Posted February 7, 2014 Hi. While I have never missed my target with M4 in DayZ, Gews has posted a pretty in-depth and informative thread about the fake dispersion in the game. Other than that the majority of complaints I've heard tend to be coming from people who shoot in 3rd person and don't actually use the guns sights. IMO those people shouldn't be able to hit shit anyhow. Either way, Rockets development post yesterday said that they are making changes to make the guns more realistic. Hopefully they will tighten the dispersion some. Regards.

Trying to justify anything on a forum is entirely pointless.
