I was in the hangar at nwaf and accidentally shot my gun and then I was shot about 2 seconds later. And if so, can they ricochet off of everything, even the ground? korpisoturi (DayZ) 127 Posted February 6, 2014 While I was shooting Gas pumps for SCIENCE, I saw bullets ricochet.1 shot at gas pump, hit, hear ricochet sound and then another impact on ground behind it. In old arma 2 I could kill myself by shooting at ground near my feet, possibly ricochet? If you do it in a building (upstairs in prison building in military areas, for example), you will see the bullet make a mark on the floor and the wall behind. My friend shot a mosin round at me on the ground and it ricocheted off the ground and hit me... i lost blood but do not know exactly how much, i did need a saline bag afterwards and i had full health before the shot... Pandema 352 Posted February 6, 2014 Bullets in the RV engine do ricochet if they hit at shallow enough of an angle. Everything from 9mm to 120mm tank shells. If you shot the floor it'd probably bounce off and impact the wall and that'd be it. Sounds like you shooting alerted someone to your position and they gave you a free trip to the coast though. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
DirtyscumbagLith 270 Posted February 6, 2014 i was with my friend @ the military base near NWAF and shot my gun into the ground- maybe 30ft from him- trying to scare the shit out of him and the bullet ricocheted off the dirt and hit his leg right after.
