Bearsus 1 Posted February 6, 2014 I have no idea if this is actually a bug, but my character seems to get exhausted all the time. I'm not talking about a status that shows in the character panel, but he keeps panting and sounding like he needs to catch a breath, allll the time. I swear i run for 25 meters and it sounds like I just ran five marathons. Is this normal? I mean I do drink most pipsi and stuff I come thru and stuff but while this game is kinda realistic, I doubt 10 cans can decline someone's physical health so. :D I guess i wont pay it much attention until I get a status text but... still, weird!
SEC9 VANDEL 51 Posted February 6, 2014 maybe your character needs to hit the gym.
TIC 1050 Posted February 6, 2014 I think the breathing after running a short distance is quite distracting, especially on servers that enforce first person. I would like it to vary on the condition of your character (Weak from starvation, sick from an illness/disease, physically wounded) .. Along with that, it should be dependent on how much all the items you carry should weigh.. Really wish these were taken into consideration.

Bearsus 1 Posted February 6, 2014 (edited) maybe your character needs to hit the gym. :P that's what I thought. oh so it's normal? cause i've had several characters and none of them had this, but maybe I just didnt run enough / or something. cuz my char atm is in good health and all that, sure he's logging an axe and a shotgun on his back but I'm not sure if those affect his running. I mean I can rung twice as long as him and its a videogame :D Edited February 6, 2014 by Bearsus

herrjon 478 Posted February 6, 2014 (edited) Well usually your average joe will get pretty tired after running kilometer after kilometer, lugging around a bunch of gear, running from zombies, and running on warm soda and some beans. It is a feature, some of the timing of it and what not could use some tweaks, but it is intended. It's in Arma as well, it'll throw off your aim as well if you try aim immediately after running for a bit. You just have to lay down (prone) and catch your breath, and it'll steady. afaik there are no negative health effect, although I haven't test out the water/energy consumptions on the new patch, but it's really just an immersion thing, and something to inhibit run and gun. You won't pass out of exhaustion if you're caring to much like in Epoch. Edited February 6, 2014 by (TMW)HerrJon
alldaypk 63 Posted February 6, 2014 The same happened to one of my old characters. Though it got better over time (running further before panting) I'm not sure if there is a 'stamina' mechanic in play.

liquidcactus 719 Posted February 6, 2014 .. Along with that, it should be dependent on how much all the items you carry should weigh.. Really wish these were taken into consideration.I've been wondering does that actually effect anything at all ? I honestly cant tell if having a full backpack effects physical activity.. I mean obviously it will at some point but I really cant notice it for the moment because sometimes my character does with this guy said aswell but only sometimes.. HMMMmm....
