Although, me and a party did have to all agree on killing the only guy without a mic because he was slowing us down and attracting zeds. We asked him to stop for a second. boneboys 7988 Posted June 30, 2012 I use a mic and have set a key to direct channel.I meet people, talk, sometimes exchange gear, hang around together for a while, then mostley go our seperate ways.Without the mic, these situations would end up with someone getting hurt.Recommended. The game says to hit caps-lock to talk and I see a mic icon on the screen but nobody seems to hear me. I've tried using the . button to change the channels to direct chat or vehicle but still no one hears me. I'm new and half the time I'm killed by players. I suffer from social phobia, which means interacting with people by talking is very difficult. So talking on a headset, phone or in person is a major challenge.Some other people might just be shy.I have the same problem. ATOJAR 23 Posted June 30, 2012 Yesterday i was in the outskirts of Cherno, I bumped into a guy with a shotgun, I didn't say anything at first because he didn't shoot at me & i didn't shoot at him, I just ran straight past him carrying on with my own business, I ran into a building where he followed me .... When i took the exit there was another guy waiting outside who took a shot at me but missed, I thought they just tried to ambush me.I didn't retaliate i just ran off and over direct communications i said "FRIENDLY, I'M FRIENDLY" ... One of the guys replied "Oh shit sorry we thought you where a bandit" & one said to the other "don't shoot him hes friendly". The guys caught up to me but didn't kill me, They where following so i thought they wanted to team up.We got inside a large factory building, They cornered me and over direct communications one of them said "where ARE gonna kill you" & then both instantly started to shoot at me! It was broken. I need to get a new one but I tested an old desktop mic and it transmits.Thanks for advice on the performance. There is a steep learning curve in this game and every bit helps.
