Weapon jamming would be interesting and welcome ( by me ) addition. Maybe even barrel wear / changing would be nice to add but I appreciate we can't have all the things we can think about.

I like your ideas about the non slotted items but I think theyre bit too far in the dev cycle now..

EDIT - totally agree about the explosives topic coverage as well, there is some goldmine fun to be had with those and in addition to it - boobie traps, explosives as well vietnam style hand crafted

Check out my final thread "the Interface", I paint a better picture of how the game can handle non slotted items in its current capabilities. We already see it with the chest holster, flash-lights and attachment system. Specially with the weapon flash-light not being able to mount unless it detects the RIS handguard.

Don't agree with firearm components. That just makes the game too complicated. Are we playing a survival game, or "World of Guns: Gun (re)disassembly"?

Also, don't agree with removing coupled mags -- They're more survivory, and look less.. "odd" than a 40 round. I know I would never pick up a 40 unless I had no other ammo, because it looks so stupidly large, more like an oversized banana magazine than a NATO style magazine.

Would be better if the 40 round looked somewhat like a standard NATO mag, but made wider to accompany for 10 more bullets.

(something like this: http://swinoz.info/trigger/main/Surefire-Ar-15-M16-60-100-Round-Magazines-Surefire-60-Rd-Magazine.html )

(yes, I know that's a 60 round magazine, but would be nice to have as the model for a 40 round instead of a NATO banana magazine.)

Or... just delete the 40-round magazines

... what for? There are no clipping issues or bugs with the 40 round magazines, as far as I'm aware. I also fail to see the problem with people having a whole 10 rounds more than is standard, anyway. (Those 10 rounds will hardly make a difference when spraying and you shouldn't need 30 rounds to kill someone anyway)
