How does SKS compare to the M4/Mosin

I like it, actually I tend to throw away my M4 to pick up a SKS, call me stupid but I love this rifle. only killed 2 guys so far with it :D  :thumbsup: . 

 

 

decent recoil, nice sound. shot one guy two times in the chest and he died instantly (don't know if the first or the second killed him and how his bloodlvl was before I did..)

The other one I emptied 10 rounds and I belive I hit him atleast 2 times and he was unconscious.

(walked around a corner and right into him, he was armed with an M4 so I didnt have time to aim :P )

Was this you lol. Top of Office building in Krasnostav I found a pristine M4 with something like 250 pieces of ammo and all the attachments. I had my SKS with me tho and 10 spare rounds and so I just left it there. :P

Says the man with a mosin in his signature .....Mosin still does it for me more accurate use of bipod and LRS if your effective with this gun you dont need more than the 1 shot flip to the fnx for close combat suits me ( SKS would be my second choice the the m4 which i dont much like sounds like crap and is basicly the noob spray and prey gun, yes i know some trully skilled guys use it also but most the people i run into with this blast away like crazy on full auto missing the wide side of a barn ....(thats the users not the guns fault )

I think the SKS hits like an absolute beast <150m, but 200m+ it is fairly useless against anything but a stationary zombie. <100m is almost guaranteed 1 shot kill, and its a good thing because when the SKS touches off a round, it's like artillery going off in the area and everyone within at least 200m is going to hear it, lol.

I am really disappointed in the lack of attachments though. At least give the SKS SOMETHING. Either a (working) suppressor, a bipod a LRS or a compensator.. anything.. having just the useless bayonet and the PU scope is a really small selection.

Unlikely - it's (probably) an issue with persistence and loot spawning. It could have been people duping but they usually don't go through the effort to scatter stuff around after they do that, and the loot spawning mechanics coupled with persistence have been prone to creating unrealistically large numbers of loot areas in some buildings, it's a well known and documented issue.

 

Can't rule out anything completely because a lot of hacks and glitches are still out there but I'd say your best bet is faulty loot mechanics (it's the SKS anyway, super common and not really rare/special enough to warrant going to the NWAF to dupe.)

It's actually not hard to imagine how an SKS could be better than an M4 in many situations. The M4 guy will tend to spray, whereas the SKS guy will know he has to aim. I really like the SKS, particularly as it doesn't need mags, attachments, all that palaver.

 

But tend to give it up because I'm just an M4 fetishist.
