limblesskody 4 Posted February 5, 2014 So i'm not sure if this has been asked but I haven't been able to find a post about it yet. I've played on a few different experimental servers and I can't seem to be able to find any loot. I've traveled half way across the map with every house in every town being looted of every thing even the rotten fruit. Does any one know if the servers aren't reseting or if loot spawns are just greatly decreased or maybe something else. I know that the first day the servers where reseting every couple minutes so maybe they greatly increased the time for server resets but I havn't seen it in there patch notes so i'm not sure.
Zarniwoop 1193 Posted February 5, 2014 (edited) They just don't restart often like the others. Thats why you only see weather effects/clouds on experimental. And lowered loot too, for next patch methinks. Edited February 5, 2014 by Zarniwoop
Jack Dant 158 Posted February 5, 2014 According to Hicks, the servers are supposed to restart every 4 hours. Personally, I think the automatic restarts don't work, and they only restart when they crash or someone remembers to press the button. And there's a lot of players logging on to experimental to test the patch, most of them without a previous experimental character, so anywhere remotely near the spawn points is going to be looted very fast. They are full 24/7, therefore every brother and his mother is looking for loot. Add in a high turn over of people once they find and test the one thing they are looking for (SKS anyone?) leads to a low possibility of loot even in the first 10 mins. There is always someone faster.

I was lucky to find food, was near death by starvation.* I'd suggest everyone to go west. But in terms of the experimental servers, I've noticed more and more old buildings of which once had loot.* Spawn nothing... I've noticed also the new spawns being even more desperate than before, if that is even possible. Edited February 5, 2014 by Sobieski12
Zarniwoop 1193 Posted February 5, 2014 I think its great on experimental servers because you actually have to take food and drink into account and loot intelligently. Stable servers restart too often and don't portrait the survival experience I would like. I have never died of starvation on stable.

Once you become stuffed, you will vomit as soon as you move. I made my way from Kamyshovo to Staroye, looting the castle along the way, and only found a single can of food, with nothing to open it. In Staroye I found more cans, but I was already "dying of starvation" when I found the food house and some powered milk and cereals. I made the mistake of drinking too much to compensate for the dry food, vomited, and went back to orange hungry status. For the final tragedy, while dying of starvation again, I found a kitchen knife in the Polana supermarket, to open all my cans. While picking it up, a zombie hit me and I went unconscious. 10/10 would try to survive again. Edited February 5, 2014 by Jack Dant
