enforcer1975 1111 Posted February 2, 2014 (edited) You also need finger cuffs so they can't tab out and use another type of chat. Edited February 2, 2014 by Enforcer
Monkfish (DayZ) 339 Posted February 2, 2014 The concept is that people could duct tape people's mouths to disable their ability to chat clearly. Instead, all that comes across in DC is a muffled noise.Fixed for accuracy.

Monkfish (DayZ) 339 Posted February 2, 2014 Sorry, kind of new to the game, what do you mean by this? They're referring to the use of VOIP software and are being facetious. VOIP can't be restricted by the game, so even with tape over your mouth, you'd still be able to use VOIP to talk to friends, should you be playing with them. Nothing that can be done about that. Monkfish (DayZ) 339 Posted February 2, 2014 It wouldn't help at all. VOIP software is entirely independent of the game and anything done in game has no bearing whatsoever on said software.

IkaikaKekai 1957 Posted February 2, 2014 You'd need more than just ducktape to 'silence' someone. The stuff you see in movies where one strip of duck tape sliences a victim is bullshit, stuffing (rag) would be required to actually muffle the sound and multiple strips to keep the stuffing in place.I won't go into detail how I know this...

Otis.Driftwood 204 Posted February 3, 2014 I was just about to open a topic regarding hostage situation and i searched this topic. I like the idea when you have a hostage situation let's say in Balota airfield and you handcuff someone and put him in the jail. You should also be able to apply duct tape to his mouth so he wont use direct communication if someone is walking into the police station and right into their trap.
