To the server hoppers in NE Airfield.

Dear fellow servers hoppers,

 

I logged out from a "no message server". Me and my friend were caught by that message in our loved fellow, The radio tower, in NE airfield. Changed on a so said " 3 players server". Logged in, freaked out till we realized we were alone for the moment in the radio tower. My friend was at the very top of it, and i was below him. He suddenly heard a gun reloading noise, and saw a zombie running to us. He said it was very strange, and i went a little downstairs searching for the players. 2 second later i heard my friend saying " Dude, u friendly?" and I ran as fast as i could upstairs. The fellow wich just spawned in the radio tower was laying on his belly, and he started pointing his gun at us. 2 m4 bullets in his head, man down. My friend logged out, when he heard me saying "dead". He tought it was me the one who is dead in that radio tower deathtrap and he quit immediately. But, not this time. 1 second later, i hear another 2 gun reloading noises. Turn around, 2 more guys were spawning in the radiotower. I said "They are really some hardcore server hoppings this little 3 man pack". No mercy against server hoppers. 2 more guys down. A server hopping squad was just killed. I regret nothing.

 

Five miutes later, after we looted our little server rabbits, we went into the prison, right next to the radiotower. My friend entered first, he had a double barrel shotgun. Went into the prison, a m4 fellow was looting there and pointed his gun at my friend. Bullets were flying. 2 shotgun shells in that guy`s chest, he is still up. My friend was screaming for help. Tried shooting through the window, missed. As I entered the prison, a message that we all hate appeared on my friend`s screen. "You are dead". Went mad, killed the little prison bastard. I regret nothing again.

 

Conclusion? Four server hoppers dead, 1 legit player dead, another legit player healing, on a 4 man killstreak. 

This happens to the server hoppers. I am not a bandit, but i have no mercy for them. If they would read this, i have something to say to them :

Guys, fuck off please. Don`t do it again, you will end the same way.

Hopefully things like serverhopping will be much more decreased with the new timers system that will come soon with the new patch, also guys that log off when they're restrained or in a combat, like your coward friend, will not be able to do it.

The Server just restarted... could be possible that those guys knew when the server restarts and logged out on the Airfield until it does (which is pretty dumb).

Nobody knows if they where server hopping or instead waiting for the server to restart due to the broken looting/zombie respawn system.

What you write is that your friend committed combat logging and that you guys geared up on a 3-man server together (-2)... that's not cheating, but abusive.

 

Who says that at least the guy in the barrack wasn't the 3rd man on the server? Airfields are the main-target on low population servers.

I personally think that the story is pretty lame... sorry. Good for you that you survived that encounter but don't think you are any better.

Your friend, the combat logger... did at least accept his fate in the end  :D .

Honestly, if he was caught by that message in the radio tower, then unless they were camping in it, they should have spawned somewhere else. (Or unless theyre the slowest looters ever)

Typically the restart message location is not the same location you respawn in after reatart.

The whole story sounds fishy to me, personally

It depends how long they were there. The only reason you get ported back after the "Lost Connection" message is because the server has only registered and saved your last position to x instead of y due to a timeout; the server actually restarts a few seconds BEFORE you see that message..

Idk man grimey and i were running to NW from green mountain and got all the way past the treeline into the fields before we got the message, and when i rejoined the server i was back up at the top of the tower by the ladder.

I tend to be reset MUCH farther back than just a few seconds, as does everyone else i play with

There's way too many server hoppers. So many times when a server resets while I'm playing, I will come back in and head for the air base. Since I'm generally alone on the server at that point, I watch the player list and count the hoppers. There's usually always a barrage of single players and groups that come in for 2-5 minutes then split.

 

Needless to say by the time you(as a legit non-hopper) get to the air base the LRS's, magpuls and m4 optics are gone lol. So yep, I tend to look down on server hoppers more than combat loggers. Some douche combat logs, you lose your chance to kill him waaaa, these douche hoppers clear out the best gears before legit players can get there. Then they hop to another server and screw those players over too.

 

I've seen them doing it in groups of 5. How goofy is that lol.

 

Basically I guess I'm just trying to say you server hoppers can eat the peanuts outta my shit. <_<

Never understood why people hop in the damn buildings. It is best to find a good vantage point and pick off the hoppers. Send in one of your buddies that has empty backpack and provide overwatch for him from a hill.

 

It's easy picking off people that like to stand either at the top of the tower or at the front of the hangers while they play inventory tetris.
