jordang120 0 Posted February 1, 2014 I don't know if i am posting this in the right place but. I recently just upgraded to 2 way SLI (GTX 760) and havent been able to get DayZ to use both GPUs does anyone know a fix for this?
DirtyscumbagLith 270 Posted February 1, 2014 I have a similar setup. do you have SLI installed? shouldnt be much more to do after you do that in g card setup. once you do, i recommend you changing your settings to this: http://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/167feg/optimal_video_settings/ looks AMAZING. jordang120 0 Posted February 1, 2014 Im guessing i was just expecting more FPS then i am getting
jordang120 0 Posted February 1, 2014 Dayz shows that its using both, Both of the cards core clock goes up to what it should be but the gpu usage is really low on both is that normal?
doctorrayray 76 Posted February 1, 2014 I have the same SLI set up and enabling SLI doesn't really make a difference. It just feels a bit more stable.
jordang120 0 Posted February 1, 2014 I just noticed something, both cards are not running very much gpu usage and i dont know why only like 30% on both is there something wrong?
irl-calibre 744 Posted February 1, 2014 (edited) My pc is ancient, my processor is like 3 gernerations old, don't have ssd and only run the game with a touch of SMAA, while I struggle seriously around towns, out in the wilderness I snipe at 100+ fps usually 120 @ 150% resolution with everything very high, so I think sli does a good enough job.. jordang120 0 Posted February 1, 2014 Thats the thing, i would be getting a lot better FPS but my gpu usage doesnt go anywhere past 30% and i ran some gpu benchmarks to see if my cpu was bottlenecking me and it wasnt my gpu's went up to 97% usage like it should i dont know what is wrong :(
byrgesen 1341 Posted February 1, 2014 Theres been no client optimization done, what so ever, yet guys :)And im quite sure theres no proper SLI profile setup either yet. Give it time and hopefully it will get abit better, but dont expect anything amazing. The lack of utilization of both GPU's is not a new thing for the RV engine, but it got a whole lot better in Arma 3, going from Alpha to Full :)Patience is the best advise here really. irl-calibre 744 Posted February 1, 2014 dunno about that mate, fully scoped both my gpu's are nearly 100%
byrgesen 1341 Posted February 1, 2014 dunno about that mate, fully scoped both my gpu's are nearly 100% i can add it varies WIDELY from system to system :)You might get 100% and your best friends have 30%. My GPU never goes above 70% in DayZ, just a single card though.
jordang120 0 Posted February 1, 2014 Yes i have been trying Arma 3 too but i still have that GPU usage issue same with almost all my games :/
deepfried 95 Posted February 1, 2014 Its the base arma engine, it bottlenecks on CPU.
