dying of thirst

I'm dying of thirst. No canteen. No soda. I stumble upon a dam with a small pond behind it. I am saved! I wade into the pond up to my shoulders, but I somehow can't drink. I imagine my dried-out dead body floating there in that pond.... :)

yeah, thats annoying, isnt it. They need to implement a 'drink from well/pond' option.

And why can't i use empty soda cans i find all over the place to hold water?

Yeah maybe they can setup the mod so that when you drink you recover 25% of thirst back. Only allowing one drink per 30mins?

I don't see what's wrong with it completely filling the thirst meter, myself. I mean, it's the same concept of using a canteen, just not portable.

Its more about realism to me, If I was sitting at a pond with just my cupped hands, I wouldnt just drink to 1/4 full, I would drink until I was no longer thirsty, and drink some more for the road
