dds__@hotmail.com 5 Posted June 23, 2012 RoflcoptorgamingThey had a group of 5 or 6 guys. Geared with snipers, enfields and automatic weapons. Just camping a town and shooting all the fresh spawns. They called it "PvP"lolI'm going to go down to the local elementary school and beat the tar out of some kids there. Brb... I just need my daily PvP.
underscore 12 Posted June 23, 2012 What? You mean every last one of them didn't have NVGs, silenced M4s and 10 STANAG SD mags each? Hmm, sounds potentially legit. Also, I've yet to see a stream that wasn't in practice a bandit stream.
CrossShade 4 Posted June 23, 2012 It was pvp, Player versus player.Just because they had little means to defend themselves doesn't mean it wasn't pvp.
Rogo Ignoscant 8 Posted June 23, 2012 Come off it PvP. Thats like throwing Peewee Herman into the MMA Cage with Crocop. It's a mixed martial arts match technically. But any self respecting halfwit would realize it was more like Player VS Moving Targets
E-Z 25 Posted June 23, 2012 yes it does, it means its PKP
Kageru 18 Posted June 23, 2012 Nah, PvP is when the aim is a contest of skill, PK is when you try to make sure there's no real risk of the target fighting back. That's why PK's love MMO's because they have lots of imbalances they can take advantage of.I'll give them credit though, a PK will put an immense amount of time into a game for a chance to make a noob cry in general chat. It strokes their ego something fierce.
ahorseofcourse 22 Posted June 23, 2012 So what? I do this all the time. If they were good players i wouldnt notice them so easily.
Hayabusa (DayZ) 18 Posted June 23, 2012 So what? I do this all the time. If they were good players i wouldnt notice them so easily.Yes exactly. I respawn all the time and get shot at. But they never really kill me unless im being stupid. Most bandits with high powered rifles wont leave the saftey of the treeline

The terms are most often used in games where both activities exist,[2] particularly MMORPGs, MUDs, and other role-playing video games.Love it when people just go on forums to make their own definitions up and be like DUDE IT'S MY DEFINITION I DEFINE WHAT I WAN'___________________________________________________Player killing, ganking or PKing, is non-consensual PvP resulting in a character's death. Now it's just up to the perspective of, if running into Elektro or Cherno do you believe players are giving their consent to pvp or not? They are considered pvp hotspots, they are well known to be shot in, so I would answer yes.Otherwise, a no, but due to idiocy and maybe even denial.

There are sad individuals out there that will wait with a sniper for hours on end just to shoot you. I'd call them cowards for hiding but its smart and it works. Its also fun shooting one of these cowards in the back while they sit there wanking to the death of a newblet. As for you, Nobody likes you. Better go cut myself. Also, you have no idea how I play. I certainly don't camp the coast to kill people, that would be boring and unrewarding.
Merk1b2 0 Posted June 24, 2012 So a group of bandits in a post apocalyptic world making round trips to kill people for recreation because they are evil....Pretty sure I have seen that in every apocalypse video game/movie/book/ TV show to date.Good for them. Let them have their fun. If I was role playing a bandit I would give new players food, shoot them once, let them run away, then snipe them. Or I would give them a gun with no ammo, shoot them in the legs, aggro zombies towards the kid and laugh from a distance as he got mauled. Anyhow, just cooking up steak up north. Kageru 18 Posted June 24, 2012 Rampant PK activity will choke off the supply of new players, it always does. That's why most games control it.
JinxX 11 Posted June 24, 2012 So what's a legit way to kill someone in your opinion then?Oh right' date=' you only moan when it's you getting killed.[/quote']There is no Legit way in DayZ, its based off a Military Sim, in real life one shot will take your ass out. I don't bitch at snipers when they kill me, I laugh when they cant aim at a moving target full random sprint in random zig zags. If they get me then shit they earned my stuff.I think they're cowardly for hiding in the shadows, when someone straight up guns me down I applaud them for putting their ass on the line to take me out. When they shoot me from the safety of 500m and a treeline I laugh because its the easiest way to kill someone. As for me, I shoot people with my crossbow. No seriously, its my main weapon. Killed eighteen people with it so far I think its great fun sneaking up on someone then WOOSH crossbow bolt to the neck.As for CrossShade, for taking my insult like a man I applaud you and take back everything I said, you seem cool. We should hang sometime, good job not having a super inflated ego like most idiots around here (I'm no exception.)
