So I Ran Through Vybor....

Recommended Posts

So I ran through Vybor and aggrovated a few Zeds. Knowing I can out run them, I leave them be. They give Chase and I quickly hear their complaints fade in the distance. I swear, 5 minutes at least of running. Zeds long forgotten, I get hungry.

Sit down under a tree in the middle of a huge open field, nothing but nature I'm my sites as far as I can see.

Start eating, eating and eating. About two minutes go by. I hear the grunt of a Zed.

Thinking it's a rabbit I ignore it. Then again only louder. Kneeling while eating I turn to have a look at the bunny.

Aaaahhh! A Zed! It hits me before I can get up and draw my axe. Holyfuck! What the hell? I'm bleeding, I hack get down only to discover she has a partner.

Geeze! Two? Yep, 2 Damn zeds followed me for miles.

I'm thinking a glitch. I was running in a locked direction and never changed course. I bet they glitches when they have Chase and the code that stood then from running never kicked in.

Either way, Fuck those things. They are more dangerous and scary than ever and only getting worse. Great, one more thing to fear and raise my blood pressure.

You have been warned.

So your pissed off because you were to ignorant to take a zombie grunt seriously? You deserved it.

running in a ''Locked Direction'' does not break the zombies line of sight, and they will continue to follow you. You need to run in zig zags through buildings and behind objects. Don't just hope they have a reset after a certain distance....

I'm not seeing the "pissed off" part of the OPs post. It seems to consist of some generally neutral reflections on zombie mechanics as well as a friendly warning to other players.

Not pissed but Yes ignorant, because it in the middle of no where it's rabbits that sounds like zombies which cause the lack of worry. But not any more.

Ha, the trolls come marching one by one hoorah, hoorah....

I was surprised that a zombie (let alone 2) would chase me undetected for so long a run.

Not pissed, not complaining. I actually like the fact that they caught me by surprise the way they did and yes, I wanted to give a heads up. Don't take these things for granted as being harmless. I am fully geared. I chose to ignore them, they choose differently. That is all.

I used to check my six for other players, but now I look for zombies as well (I've also seen them follow me out of town).

Zombies are glitching and hacking fu***rs.

You can never go afk, even in the middle of forest becouse you never know if one of the zombies is not chasing you from some town and will find their patch to you.

The zombies in this game are not scary in the least.

Outrun them.

Hit them with a melee while you run in a circle.

Or hug them for like 5 minutes till you're dead.

With all the KOS going on, there might as well not be zombies in the game.  I never fear for my life from a zombie.

wish it happened more often i find they usually give up every now and then you get a persistant one but honestly cant wait for there to be a punishing stamina system so my odds of out running them fully geared ( i carry 4 guns mosin fnx .357 sawn off shot gun plus an axe and yet i can flee from them at cheater speed( i do it because i can ) id like to not be able to out run them so easily and have to think about not setting off the natives or having to dispatch them .

Although for shits and giggles i often round up zeds and take them into the forrests on the high side of roads where i know people like to run (had it done to me it was actually awesome heard zed thought rabbit and bang set on by 3 zeds wanting my blood a rush hope this happens naturally with the hordes being mentioned....

I ran into 3 zombies out in the middles of nowhere last night. Same thing, kind of. I was running through the woods north of Krasnostav, west of the airfield and I heard a zombie sound. Thinking the same thing as the OP I ignored it and kept moving... I wasn't sprinting just jogging along with my M4 in hand. I hear it again, but it sounded closer this time. I spin around and there is a zombie about 10 yards behind me... I dropped him and I hear another zombie. I spin around and to see 2 more zombies running at me, one from my 3 o'clock and one from my 10 o'clock. I was just like WTF!!! Needless to say they didn't get close to me before they went down, but I just thought it was strange that they would be that far out into the woods. The only thing I can think of is that they had chased someone from Krasnostav and stopped in the woods once they lost sight of the person.

was at the NWAF today, and I swear zombies are running at me from 500+ meters away...while I was  crouched sneaking around. only way I noticed them was because I started scouting for other players through my scope, it seems they have some super eyes and ears lol.

its strange how they do this i mean they seem to currently have to modes super vision or complete retard. I have seen one agro from atleast 400m when i am upstairs in a house (it may have been further cause i only noticed when i looked out the window.)

But then you get the complete switched off zed who you can happily jump over a fence and run directly at there face and they dont agro by the time you have axed them....
