Humble Bundle: Arma Ii With Dayz - Few Problems

Hi,

I have following problems.

I bought on Humble Bundle Arma II with Arma II: Arrowhead and DayZ. Installed all of three games Arma II then arrowhead and DayZ. And have a problem cause can't find any server, almost all have red cross left of server name or orange dot.

Found once a server which I connected but I was flying a pigeon and it was all I could make.

When I look on servers informations I can see my version is x.62  and servers are x.62.xx (can't remember proper numbers).

So my first question is how to update dayz via steam?

And next problem is when launching game there are some issues about missing files but game launch. When I tried to set up server and play with my friend (he bought on HB too) we couldn't play.

And I couldn't find any missions or something to choose to run server.

If I remind or find about something more I will post to this topic.

Well, you need to get the Arma II Operation Arrowhead Beta on steam aswell, thats the x.62.xx version :)
And DayZ Mod should update it self, if not, right click on it, go to properties, go to Betas and find the version you want on the list, it should start to update.

If it doesnt update, try starting it and that should force the update to begin :)

 

Other then that, theres the good old "verify cache integrity" :)

Download dayz commander and use that to update arma2 and dayz game files.

 

I guarantee after you do this, you'll see more servers than you know what to do with.

So Byrgesen I tried your solutions and it didn't help. Done this one:

Try commander then mate, but make sure you do as Creature said, and run ALL the arma games 1 time first, or the mod wont start :)

I just totally forgot about that part hehe

I runned. 

Figured it when Tried first time launch DayZ.

You can always try to verify the game cache files mate, it usually does the trick, when all else fails :)

So commander showed that my Arma II was not existing but it mentioned about out of date.

And it was some corrupt with DayZ.

Ok, well does it look like this in your steam library?

 

Especially note the Beta that you need :)

It might be the beta causing the "out of date" error you get mate
