Fireaxe Unfair?

I feel the axe being a 1 shot kill is ok with a little bit of modification to the current system.  It sucks that people running up on you with there axe at the ready can hit you while you to are running and you cant even hear them until they are a few steps away.  If somebody is chasing you in real life with an axe chances are you will at least hear them from a farther distance, and if your running away you should be able to outrun them keeping in mind that everyone is the same general speed.  Its as if they have dead silence from call of duty on all the time.

Sorry, but this is true.

i think nobody can survive a heavy hit by a firefighter axe..

hardly relevant at such an early stage in development.

If you can't hear them? well, all audio is being re-done maybe bring up that issue when it's done.

One hit - well, balancing hasn't even begun until all weapons are actually in game

etc etc.

 

Test the game, have a little fun but don't expect late stage development to be implemented in early alpha. Its likely that 99.9% of all bug claims and issues are known to the team. Only time its worth mentioning anything is when a new patch introduces a problem.

Defo need to work on a shoe/boot system - 

 

Trainers/Shoes = quiet / run slightly faster

 

boots/wellies = noisey / climb hills faster

All that has been planned for the game a long time ago. search you tube for rezzed / dayz expo. Dean explains a hell of a lot there and should be staple viewing for anyone before asking/suggesting changes as it will answer their questions 9 times out of 10 saving them the bother of typing..

That's like saying the mosin should be nerfed because it can kill in 1 shot and you don't always hear it.

Once encumbrance, stamina, disease, and other physical factor come into play the whole thing will become more interesting.

 

I rather use my trusty logsplitter than the fireman's. Two swings for the price of one. Saved my life in a very tight spot. With the fire axe i probably would have gone down. But all in all, any strong direct hit to the unprotected skull is a knock out. Axes simply will break your neck or crush your torax.
