Enter And Other Buttons Forbidden!

Hey everyone,

 

Since yesterday me and my friend are not able to press enter, backspace or f2 and probably some other buttons anymore. When we press enter, it says: DO NOT PRESS ENTER, ENTER IS FORBIDDEN ON THIS SERVER. After two times, dayz 'crashes' (we get a white or black screen) and then the only way is by closing it down via task manager.

 

We have not had this problem previously in this server. What could it be and how can we solve it?

I had a similar thing happen awhile ago, I had my journal( Debug thingy ) button bound to insert. The server had what I believe to be a script, Installed on it, Which warned you not to press Insert, So I tested it, It kicked me.

I later found out that Insert is one of the main keybindings for hacking.

I rebound my journal key. ;P

Thanks for your respond. However, I guess the usage of Enter and all the F-buttons (F1, F2, etc.) cannot be disabled because of hacking, right? Moreover, I found out that it is not only one server. On other servers I have the same problem!

I do not have the problem with all servers. I think it has something to do with the epoch version the server runs on.. I will try to reinstall Dayz Epoch

As if blocking keys stops them from using the other 999 buttons. In the end all your keys are blocked...kind if stupid thinking by the editor. You can only stop it by blocking the content sent with it.

i am having this on vanilla day z one specific server, can't press Enter or f12 It is ridiculous...Simple solution for me don't play on that server, stupid rule.

It will be a certain piece of anti hack software that particular server is running. (I forget the name of it) 

It's attempting to stop people using those keys to activate their "hacks." Obviously this isn't going to completely stop people finding other ways to run their little scripts, but it might reduce the amount of people who hack on that particular server.

 

A server i play on used to run the same anti hack a long while ago. Unfortunately for me the F keys are used for starting and stopping recording in Action! so many times I was kicked while starting recording or taking a screen shot while flying a helicopter... Good times!

tell the admins, or find another server. I refuse to have my gaming experienced spoilt by hackers. The server i was playing on kindly removed these restrictions
