Problem With No Longer Spawning In/near Cherno

Recommended Posts

Cherno has become a Ghost town since they made it so you spawn less frequently near Cherno and Balota. Why not just move Balota a little farther north and keep the spawns as they were?

Anyone Agree/Disagree with this? If not why?

You don't even need to move Balota, just make it so that fuck all gear spawns there

Cherno being a ghost town isn't a "problem" as far as I am concerned. All the nubs are in Elektro, Cherno is tastier than ever.

Guys, I have 50 hours into this game, with most of my time since the last patch spent in hardcore on one or two servers. I have explored the vast majority of the map... Except for Cherno / Zerg (or whatever the name is).

Hell, I even explored one of the two crashed heli sites as a survival mission objective. (No loot was spawned so don't bother searching it)

I have explored so far north and west that I discovered if you go too far in either direction you lose control of your character and it starts running in a circle until you force quit.

I have explored everything this game can offer EXCEPT for how to deal with other players. That is why I want the spawns spread out. I don't care if they are in small inland villages.

Taking this to to extreme, why don't they put all of the spawn points in the water with a 2-5 minute swim to shore... That better aligns with the "washed up survivor" theme. BUT put the spawns evenly distributed along the coast.

Regarding Cherno / Zerg: I don't go there as a geared played because the risk of death is far to high compared to the reward of gaining... Well... Absolutely nothing that I don't already have. And since I can't spawn near there... I don't expect to see that part of the map anytime soon.

Actually this is a good thing because it means you can loot there and get guns and ammo without running into asshats looking for an easy kill.

Wait, what? I ran about 10 mins into the deadzone at the edge of the map yesterday to see if there was terrain was there or it eventually vanished into nothing. All I found was more hills rolling as far as I could see...

Does anyone know a good up to date large jpg style map of Chenarus with all the town names on

Back to the topic at hand, seems the difficulty stems from no-one having any idea where to go, telling people to follow roads to the next town has only worked for one forum member who actually took our advice.  The spawn point's are fine as is, it's the players who are causing the issues, personally back when everyone would kill themselves if they didn't spawn near electro I loved to stroll into Berezino and walk out the post-apocalyptic equivalent of Donald Trump.

I wouldn't bitch about Cherno being empty, I'd tell everyone it's a sniper filled, bandit ridden, spawn slaying death trap.
