Dronin 5 Posted May 13, 2012 it was bound to happen eventually, poor rocket, still more good press, if multiplay can sort their servers it will help greatly
KevinsLunchbox 7 Posted May 13, 2012 I think more support is a good thing, shows the developers that people really really love the mod and that they are willing to support it.
diener_ 0 Posted May 13, 2012 Great, more people to storm the servers. I am not saying it is bad but it's still alpha and sometimes the servers can't take it.
oktyabr 53 Posted May 13, 2012 Wow. I guess if rocket wanted to stress test things he's going to get the opportunity!
AstroZombie 9 Posted May 13, 2012 Multiplay are looking to jump in once it hits beta as soon as that happens me and my friends are chipping in for server.

priestizzle 1 Posted May 13, 2012 Well the cat is out of the bag. Besides growing steam sales, worth of mouth, twitch.tv streams, and youtube videos (add to that the fact people have been looking for this type of game for years), a member of the press was bound to get his hands on this. All i hope is that the servers are prepared for even higher influx of people. I also hope this helps get some some money by way of inteviews, donations, and maybe even some more community coders willing to jump on (much like swgemu).Congrats Rocket and crew, you are the new revolutionaries! Most of all, thank you all. robertstuartmarshall 1 Posted May 13, 2012 The good and the bad.Great for Rocket, getting not just exposure but highly positive exposure as well. Totally deserved for this mod.Bad. More trolls, more people demanding change on the forums - "game 2 hard loloz", "Shorten day/night cycle derples", etc - and harder to get on servers.

Alex LWG 2 Posted May 13, 2012 This will be good sales for BI, if people think the game is to hard they'll leave, eventually only the serious players who like DayZ will stay.
Zarlak 339 Posted May 13, 2012 The issue though Alex is that the more players, the more servers, the more servers, the bigger DB strain, the more lag, the longer wait times to get into servers, etc etc etc.Multiplay have already popped up a feck tonne of servers as it is. The more that get on board is bad for the alpha. It's an alpha, it's not a game. Alpha/beta is usually closed to allow a certain number in so that everybody doesn't connect. This is an alpha that's starting to act like a release, and I don't think it will be able to handle it.If it can then great, but I don't think it can. And we can't alpha test a game we can't play. chaostactical 4 Posted May 13, 2012 The Staff of this mod have handled everything with the upmost excellence considering the strain they've been put on..I have nothing but optimism for this mod :)i say fuck it.Bring ALL the newbies!Bean Wars, Act IIGo. orbital 10 Posted May 13, 2012 The forum is just like any MMO forum, the majority of post are complaints and silly ideas. But the feedback is still very valuable, even though it's not all positive.I believe Rocket's replies towards he's intentions with the game is pretty clear. Niblik 1 Posted May 13, 2012 I would have thought that in any environment that involves PVP fresh blood would be a good thing. As for me, I'm more into the survival aspect of the game and less justifying why I just ganked some brand new player while bragging how cool I am. :) Of course, nothing wrong with killing in self defense....But hey, that's just me. Happy hunting!

Happy hunting![/quote']Only if the database can handle the strain. It's not a good thing to not be able to play because the player base has outgrown the capabilities of an alpha mod.But let's see. Only Rocket knows the answer to that.
