Grimey Rick

I wish I could record.

Recommended Posts

I just climbed to the top of one of the apartment buildings north of the south-western airstrip. Upon climbing to the top of the ladder, I was then shot about ten feet into the air and fell back down to the base of the ladder. It took one or two seconds for this to happen, all the while I was profusely swearing. Miraculously, I landed and didn't die. My status is no longer healthy, I'm not bleeding, and my avatar keeps complaining about pain. None of my items deteriorated, either.

I popped some morphine and ate/drank until the healing status popped up. I've never had a broken leg in-game but I assume I wouldn't be able to run around if my legs were broken. Weird bug, and I'll think twice before going up there again!

You have to relog to get rid of the moaning. There currently is no treatment except relogging.

Regarding the broken bones, you are correct. You can stand up, but as soon as you try to move, you will go prone again. Only sticks and rags or morphine can help in that situation.

Ladders in this game are far worse than Bandit/KoS players, Lol...

Morphine and even a splint will get rid of the moaning.

If you have an Nvidia card, shadowplay is now working with DayZ (wasn't for me before latest ver). Doesn't chew frames, you can record your last (up to) 20 minutes, or manually record.

Morphine is only for pain. Does not cure broken limbs like in the mod. if you could still walk your legs were not broken
