Calm down, It'll all be much more awesome in the next few updates, i promise :D they have some awesome stuff planned. The issues right now aren't really the Devs fault so much as it is the people who exploit them :P

 

lol sorry mate but you come off as someone crying over their spilt milk. Hell, I could be one of 'your 600m kills' and if I have the ability to get the fk out of dodge...I shall use it. :) Next time wait until they're 300m or so and nail your shot.

Do ppl understand that we are testing this game? I swear it's like all these ppl that complain have some sort of stat system that none of us know about.Your character is going to die from dumb stuff, the dumbest trust me. If you don't get a kill from a combat logger who cares move on mate. Combat logging, server hopping and ghosting are not critical at this point of the game. Complaining is just gunna get a bunch of ppl telling u ur an idiot so don't.

Yeah i understand the game is being tested.. None of what I said had anything to do with me dieing.. Dieing is part of Dayz and i explain that to any new player I meet. How are none of these bugs not critical at this point? How can the game be properly tested with these bugs going on? Comabt logging to me isn't really that much of a problem, it is the server hopping that really annoy's me. Server Hopper's are hopping to as many server's as they can and takeing whatever they can before anyone gets a chance to test anything out. If I understand correctly wouldn't alot of people switching back and forth across many servers 100's of times a day put more strain on the servers?

Currently many of our features such as queued loading, combat logging timeout, etc... have been disabled as there is the possibility that they will cause additional strain on the central server. Once we know that we can handle the load we will begin implementing these. Thank you for posting this.. I was looking for something like this to explain why these bugs haven't been fixed. So they have been fixed just not implemented.. Well that's good to know. Thank you.. I wish I would have found this message before I made this post.. Would have saved alot of grief.

I bet if you reversed their priority list we'd see a lot of gameplay issues fixed, insteading of getting spray paint, and burlap bags on our heads.

 

I understand the make it work, optimize it later development mindset, however, they have system in place they don't even work correctly (unless I've just always done things wrong, and they're doing it the proper way) and they seem more interested in just adding "cool" stuff instead of making things work as intended.

 

I would really like to know if they're even using their new "network bubble." Based on what I've seen so far they're using it and it's not working as expected and that's just fine for them, or they weren't able to get it in a useable state and dropped it to the bottom of the list so they can focus on important things, like making the wildlife take shits.

 

Isn't the point of an alpha to flush out and fix game breaking issues, not push as much content as possible, while introducing more issues?

Make the log out time 10 seconds from the time you hit log out ( immune from zombie hits durring this time)

 

annnnd ghosting!?  Hive servers.

 

Aka no worries m8 this game will be great. its only 20% done right now.

Hive servers are a given, but i'd say make it 30 seconds or even 45 to compensate for assholes trying to hide behind something and log out. 10 seconds is easily enough time for anyone to hide from a 500 meter shot and then log off.

All these old issues are under scrutiny and constant discussion, why on earth would they not be?

 

As Im often repeating, its quite amazing how playable the game is for an Alpha.

They had servers that had 10 second log timers on the Mod, derp.  At least that counted for something.

I wasn't saying the game is complete. I am saying that combat logging was a big issue in the Mod, so why wasn't this bug fixed before the Alpha was released, instead of making the same mistake twice. Dayz is released. It is not complete but it has been released to anyone who buys it... And by the way, almost everyone eats some of the batter off the mixxing spoon before they cook it.

well if you could read, you would know there is nothing to fix, the combat logging protection has been disabled until the servers can handle the extra strain it causes. combat logging doesnt matter anyhow. we are able to play the alpha to help test it so who gives a fuck about completely stupid shit like this. when the game actually leaves beta then you can bitch about these stupid non-issues and ask for a refund.

Yes they did add timers in, but for a while there wasn't anything to prevent combat logging.. But the information that i edit in says they have the timer's and precautions for combat logging, they just haven't turned it on yet..

Lol.. Someone gave me that information about the combat logging precautions being turned off ATM in Dayz SA after I made this post. Obviously you don't know what your talking about and your just another Fanboy that screams "It's Alpha"..
