distraction explosives

I have the idea of some little explosives you can place on the ground and that will explode some time later

 

maybe you can combine fireworks with a powder fuze and matches to distract zombies and other players

 

or you  can combine ammunition with a powder fuse and matches to simulate gunfire from that place

 

the time-delay can be changed by combining the powder fuzes (each part is one minute time-delay)

I don't think igniting ammo will make it sound like gunfire but it will make a lot of noise for sure.  You know you have to ignite the propellant by hitting the primer in the back right? You can't just put them in a spot and lay a powder trail...to hollywood.

Reminds me of the Satchel Charge in Arma II, very rare in the mod I believe.

I didn´t mean such a big explosion. Nothing to hurt other players or zombies. Just to make a loud noise to distract the zombies in that area.

I think in the future there are more than 4 or 5 zombies in a town and you don´t want or maybe can´t fight them all to get into the houses. So you need to distract them.

What about very rare leftovers of new year?
No timer but no need for any crafting. All you would need is a pack of matches in your inventory to ignite them. Throw them and see the beloved walkers run.
Same but less efficient, what we already had in the mod, empty cans.
I can even imagine with the implementation of the physics engine that you can throw quite a lot to distract zombies and players.
