Damp status at inventory

Hello everyone. Today while I was playing and take a look to my inventory I saw a damp status under the "Pristine". Does anybody know what that means. I came across with that first time so I still wondering what this means and how affect the gameplay.

 

 

PS Also while walking around a heard a dog bark at me but i saw nothing just a rabbit running (maybe a bug?)

If you bleed too much or enter water (i think) your clothes ca be damp. This means you cant use them for bandages. At least thats my understanding

I don't think it affects you at the moment. There's plans for it, though and it's good to get used to.

 

What it means in the future is, that you will catch a cold when you're running around with damp clothes, obviously. But I am fairly certain, that that is not implemented yet.

I would have thought that damp clothing will make you cold therefore put you at greater risk of getting sick later in development. Right now it doesn't do anything though. Damp status may also damage some other equipment, we'll have to wait and see.

I assume it would make things like rice and other perisbables degraded or useless

Let's hope they do something about humidity or let's say moisture problems. It's an enemy to almost everything we know, electronics, unpacked food, clothing, weapons and ammo and yourself if you pair it with cold weather and sometimes when it's warm, too...except the fish.

i took a swim in a pond "hand to wash the stench off" so id be harder to detect while lurking around.

kinda sucks if your lurking and the hole thing goes to hell cause the enemies can smell ya from a mile away.

anyway noticed my green raincoat had gotten damp after the swim.

nice touch.
