How much gigabytes does dayz standalone take to download?

Recommended Posts

I've been wanting to play Dayz Standalone so bad, but my dad won't let me download it because he thinks it's going to take to much out of our bandwidth. So I need to know how much it's going to take out of our bandwidth so I can download the game. So please help me.

PS: My bandwidth is 40 gigs.

IF you have to ask your dad to get this game you most likely should not be playing it...

According to the game requirements page:

10 GB Available space

But on Steam the actual file size is: 5888 MB

Bandwidth: 40 gigs... I don't understand... What does that MEAN? You can only transfer 40 gigabytes of data through your modem per month?!?!? Is that what that means? Cause that is fucking ridiculous

Not rediculous for people who just want a TV and phone plan. Hell, maybe they just use the computer for Word like most people.

Like me he might live in a country that doesn't package all-you-can-eat internet for realistic prices.

Damn, gotta feel sorry for those who actually have a limit. Here in Germany, you'd maybe get a letter regarding your 1000+GB traffic a month, but you can just continue that way.

Anyways, good luck.

not all have it so good!

in canada our fastest commercial internet is only 100mbit, which is laughable as "fastest"

Considering we should be similar or near the us..

I get a reminder letter at about 300 gb/ mo downloaded. But I rarely surpass that.

I feel for you op, i know my parents plan is like 40gb /mo with a 15mbit connection. But then again its like $15/ mo...
