Imposed difficulty

Has anyone else imposed your own difficulties on yourself while playing this game? For example, I've started only drinking from wells, and never from ponds.

I once played as a morphine addict in the mod, who needed morphine every hour just to live. Ended up dying after about 3 hours(killed myself due to no morphine). It was pretty fun, especially running up to people asking for a fix lol

When they add infection to ponds, so you actually have to use bottles and water purification pills on water from pond difficulity will balance itself.

Yep,

I eat only pristine or worn food, same for medical stuffs even if for now it seems not change anything.

I stop and sit on a regular basis, even if not really necessary to keep my healthy status

I try to logout on places that would be realistic places to sleep (protected for rain/wind)

Which is why I said they were imposed difficulties. You have to force yourself to respect logic and not drink dirty water.

Strange that I developed an infection/got sick from being hurt by zombies a couple of weeks back.

 

The reason I couldn't have poisoned myself? Because of my self imposed difficulty of only eating and drinking from pristine containers, only using pristine med supplies, if pushed I'll use worn bandages but ONLY if I've disinfected them with pristine disinfectant first.

 

I had to take a full course of pristine Anti-Biotics over a period of an hour to get rid of it. The only way I'll drink water from a well is with a pristine water canteen using pristine purification tabs.

 

See a pattern forming.... :P

I don't use vests only stab proof (as it has no inventory slots) or pistol holster (mainly use holster due to hard to find nature of stab proof vest), i also only wear a tee so no slots for the top either and i do not carry food or water on me so i purely live off what i find.

Makes it more fun for me playing a minimalist not just carrying everything i find.

i never drink from ponds as it risks makes my clothing / gear damp.

 

i no longer carry a can-opener -  theres enough tuna.. as it seems every building in all of chernarus spawns those lol. otherewise rice & milk are the best inventory-friendly food to carry around though. a fruit every now and then is nice! and now with the potential of berries.. yum

 

more on the topic of imposing difficulties upon yourself.. for anyone who has tried to stray away from the stereotypical TTsKO outfit to find something more original.. you already know that you cut inventory space by doing so.

Props for that, and for making it so any bandits who take you down aren't going to get much from you.

 

As for me, I play first person only no matter what server I'm on. Lately I've decided not to wear military clothing, as that's the uniform of a bandit and screams 'shoot me' even to the friendlies. I won't wear the chest holster for the same reason. Also only drink from water pumps for the moment, trying to form good habits for when the infection stuff does get implemented.

i tend to play as someone who is allergic to bullets, really makes things interesting when people offer me bullets at varying velocities. Also, for added difficulty I sometimes will RP a person who is mysteriously magnetized, thus making bullets more likely to find me and bother my allergy.

Yesss! I start every day with nothing ( Or giveaway everything from the day Prior)  

 

You can not save your items in game other then being on your char so.. eh I find its more fun to start over every day or so. 

 

Crawling in the grass following a group city to city till on of them runs of on his own and BAM Got one! Use the gun to start a war ohh its funn.
